Adam, loom tape? If you mean the stuff on my engine loom it came on it from pectel... the other tape is from a motor factors and Wurth, its hard to find decent tape which doesnt fall off after a few months

Benn I know mate exactly why I was so pissed off saturday

Ryan cheers mate... it wants to be for the price I know I questioned the IGN amp business apparently they al like that, suuits me though less clutter in the bay

Benn the pulleys have been Nickel plated

hi mate, yeah i know there not cheap, could have one identical for half the price

And the amp thing is a myth, i've seen plenty of Escort Cossy Pectel Looms with Amps in the stadard position

Mine obvious can be put anywhere in the bay upon customer request

Dave, yeah i can run it through with you, pretty simple really.

If you loom is the same as Damo's a few move wires can be removed.

I'm sure damo and i can guide you on this.

Not a hard job at all just needs a bit of brain power and commitment, luckily for me you have both

cool, Ive spoken to Damo in a bit of length about it yesterday ... but for your info

these are ALL the looms plugs and outputs

ECU plug

Bank of 3 relays

Fuel pump take off

2 ign amp plugs

water injection take off

3 wire take off (says oil, oil lmp, water on each)

anti lag take off (x2)

boost pot take off (for 12 pos adj boost)

-----RUBBER BULK HEAD GROMMET ------

Cable with 3 inline fuses and linked to one ring connector (goes to battery i guess)

take off that says "water)

take off that says "H20"

2 x oil take offs (pressure switch)

coil pack take off (oval plug)

map sensor take off

2 wires from one, each labelled – ign and tacho ( I TAKE IT THESE NEED TO BE JOINED TO WIRES ALREADY IN MY BAY?)

4 x injector plugs

air x 1 needs extension for air injectors

ISCV plug

Cam pick up sensor

GND - to inlet bolt?

Boost (amal valve) ?? why as im using air injectors (bladed plug as per amal)

Crank sensor

Dave it will be very difficult for Ryan to decypher your list without pics, if he had it in his hands he would understand it perfectly I reckon, honestly as I said above its all (in theory) pretty straightforward (I hope lol)

I reckon the amalvalve take off is there for people like me who thought they were gonna run a amal valve, but then decided to run Air to Air its just a stabndard design loom, unlike Ryan's which as suggested could be made without that plug for example

Ryna I guess The IGN AMP business is something Harvey stipulates

Dave the trolley is about 80 years old I reckon you can borrow it if you want...

Right tiny update tonight

Been thinking of a few ways to fit all this back in, this is the best I could come up with

The old man is away for a few days, tonight I cracked on, little bit of headscratching and finger crossing, I came up with this...

Proper pleased with myself, managed to fit it all up by myself, not bad for a first-timer I reckon

Just little bits now, fit up suspension, steering, connect prop fit exhaust downpipe, loom up and then sus out fuel reg, air to air and coil pack mounting I'm still waiting for my custom made plug leads though so cant really fit coil pack till then

Anyway enjoy.....

Damo, when i get my box back, you're deffo coming down and we'll get mine in!!

reckon we can lift the front of the car up high enough with an engine lift?

then slide the engine and box in from underneath?

also, how did you remount the crossmember? jack the engine up, then bolt it on, and then lower the engine on to the mounts?

well done mate.. good progress!

cheers all ... Mike, it better bloody make it

Dave, yeah slide engine under, lower car a bit, lift engine with crane bolt up front crossmember (to engine mounts also), bolt up rear box cradle, lower crane stand back and take a bow

Dave is your centre console out? it will be easier in your instance if the gear linkage is attached to box before fitment, i just connected mine all up while it was in the air, well 2 feet off the ground lol

Friday afternoon, spent a little bit of time fitting up the engine loom... Had to leave early though as I had a wedding to go to

Fuel Reg's new home (I think)

Saturday afternoon was back over the garage a little worse for wear ... But I managed to get all the front suspension built up.. WHAT a bitch

I will get some better pics of the underside another day

Sunday I went over and "finished off"

Thats it....!!! I'm still waiting for my plug leads and ECU from Harvey, plus I only ordered my fuel lines Friday, but if I had all those I woud have turned the key yesterday .. not really alot I can do now till I get these bits ...

Not alot done today, just twiddling my thumbs really till I get the rest of the bits, but I tackled mounting the coilpack,I was gonna wait till I got the plug leads but I'll just have to hope they are long enough

The extra bolt on the bracket is for an earth strap
