Project Puma
Hey guys.. Just joined so I thought i'd share my kat with you all..
I have owned my Puma since Nov 2005 and when I picked her up she was completely standard. I've made many modifications during the time i've owned her and a lot of changes have come and gone with my different ideas over the years. The biggest change was probably the full respray inside and out from the standard "medium steel blue" to Ford's fairly newish "Ice White" pearlescent paint. I wanted something unique and different to the ever common Ford Frozen White you see everywhere these days.. She's no longer my daily driver as I have a company car, so she only really comes out for events and track days.
Anyway current modifications are as follows:
Engine & Exhaust:
Remanufactured Sigma 1.7 Puma Engine (currently less than 1500 miles)
Ford Racing Puma ECU management system
FRP Camshafts
FRP Inlet manifold with Mondeo throttle body
Full Miltek stainless steel 421 exhaust manifold and de-cat system
Samco Coolant hose kit
RamAir cone air filter
Wheels, Brakes & Suspension:
17" Speedline Corse Alloy Wheels
Toyo Proxes T1R’s all round
Front Brake Conversion 300mm ST170 discs and Brembo 4pot calipers
Rear Brake Disc Conversion to 280mm ST170 set up
20mm Hub-centric spacers
20mm Rear axle spacers
AP Coilovers
Front and Rear Upper Strut braces
Exterior:
Full Respray in FORD ICE WHITE
Rally style vinyls
MS Designs rear spoiler
Bonnet Pins
Interior:
FRP Sparco Bucket Seats
FRP Door cards
Sparco Harnesses
Stripped rear interior
Blue alacantra steering wheel
Oil temp gauge
Blue dash LEDs
Kenwood head unit
And a few pics from over the years....

when you use it on track the stickers work however in everyday driving they would be overkill, I have a thunder at moment as my daily runner and it puts a smile on my face

Hullo! Crikey girl, I didn't realise that I still had my old XR3i when you first had your puma! I've had 4.5 other cars in that time!
Dammit Aaron, why'd you have to remind me I still need to drag our puma down to Triple R and let them measure up for one?!

Cool. Does the car feel any slower with them on. Also did you notice the difference when you fitted your cone filter cause replacing the standard air box has mixed reviews.
