In 1990 , I bought for my ford P100 1.8d work one today , the engine stopped working almost 400.000km and I decided some time ago to restore it completely and make a swap .

I looked for a gasoline engine Ford GT 2.0iy replaced it with mine, I noticed the body and now I need only finish the back and paint .

I report to legalize the project and my surprise is that in Spain , this model only selling 1.8d engine sold in Spain only 36 units and to approve the project , I need to find a ford documentation confirming that the P100 also sold motor gasoline .

Hi welcome to pf. Some people dont like them 2ltr 8valve engines but I had a sierra with one in and it was spot on in the 3 years I owned the car.

I e 2.0iy been testing the performance liked me, but I know that is not a YB .......

Anyway, if I get someone to help me with the documentation, I can start enjoying my P100 and with more time, I'll find a 2.0 16v cosworth.

I have a 2ltr 8 v pinto engine in mine , tbh it will keep up with traffic no problem , but I would say its under powered

To be honest I don't think anyone will send you documentation as if that information got lost and/or abused it could be a real headache.
I don't quite understand why the driving agency need you to prove it when they can simply look up the information themselves, surely being the Spanish dvla they would have the means to access that information?

 

You may be right in that no one will help me.

The problem is that here in Spain, any changes you make to a vehicle is required approved. It's an easy way to have imposed the itv to take extra money.

The P100 was not marketed in Spain by petrol engine.

So ask me to approve the motor and mounted, showing that it is true that in other countries was released with 2.0 pinto engine.

I hope that some of the owners of a P100 here can help me.
