1600e orion to zetec help ?!?!
as title says, i have a 1600e onion and want rid of the cvh lump for a zetec..ive looked into this abit and have seen mixed opinions about the conversion, some have said the 2L zetec is easier to fit and goes better, others have said the 1.8 is easier to fit, revs better and is only just less powerful than a 2L, and others have said a turbo'd cvh will be quicker than both zetec alternaatives i have seen that the 1 of the engine mounts needs to be modified but i have asked about and i have been told if you use the cvh top mount and the zetec bottom mount nothing will need cutting and welding i have also seen people say they needed to trim a piece of the sump off the zetec because it catches along the back...how much of this is reliable info? are there any significant differences between the silvertop and blacktop engines that could effect the fit?, so do any of you have a easier less costly way of doing it, i have seen the zetec conversion guide for under 200 but i didnt find it that clear, any help will be more very much appreciated
cheers
