It is correct for aftermarket management that does not have the stock trigger pattern in it.

Made progress on the fuel system today. Protec wish to get involved in this project so we will have info from the experts. They are going to test there P1 Veyron pumps @ 16v with 115psi pressure & report back. It may mean we can get a single pump to cope with fuel supply. They will also make sure the Dyno company have the correct fuel system to support our bhp at these enhanced boost levels. All he wants is publicity & a small sticker on the back of the car . Its a case of you don't get if you don't ask . Oh yes & be there when we run.

Im waiting for the parts to arrive for the cam trigger mod & then will get the cover drilled to suit & the Cam modified to take the trigger.
There is a Vmax in mid October & that looks the best bet for an attempt to secure 3 records. Fastest Cossie, Fastest Ford & Fastest 4 pot. We need to exceed 210.4mph to achieve that so that's the target, time will tell how realistic that is.

Been over to Marks today to take the cam trigger parts. Went to try & simplify what we are trying to build. Fat chance ended up with more bits to do . The DBW is now dead & forgotten & the 'push' bottle will be removed from the Nitrous system & it will go back to a single fogger that frees up the ITB's. Wanted to cut back on the complex Traction Control that Mark wants but he is bigger than me so it stays. Other sensors will be added to go with the multitude of other sensors & alarms if a dog farts in Iraq my ECU will know & take action . A 4th Plug is now in play on the ECU with wideband Lambda so much for wanting a simpler system.

Also got looms to make for an Escort & a Lancia Intergrale so fat chance of having a rest over the next couple of weeks. Its the first cars with the new Emtron SL series ECU's, Marks preferred solution on a Cossie these days.

I wish to run the car in mid October so we have 8.5 months to get the car ready.

Well I built a loom for my new engine some time back, lets say that was not a good idea. With lots of changes & add-ons it was simpler & probably cheaper to build a new one. Started today I will finish the in-car part as that's fixed & leave the rest ubtil the engine is built.
Im not sure it happened (cue Mark) but my Block & Sump should have gone out for yet more mods this week. When they return the build will start in earnest.

AutoCAD the drawings are very basic a lot of cutting & shutting from other loom files no time to draw the looms or Diagrams from scratch. Ive around 80 different Diagram/Loom files that ive done for M.A.D the latest is for a Lancia Intergrale it keeps the brain active or something like that. Not sure what happens when I get too old but apparently im good till im 90 so a few years yet.

Nice work Rod. I am looking at getting an emtron ECU for my track escos, they are local to me here in Australia. How do you find the ECU. May need to pick your brains about it all. I have also been told the ECU can work the skyline R32 4x4 box i am also putting in?

Finished the loom as far as I can, now need a built up engine to finish. Have taken unused input/outputs + all Voltages & Sensor Ground to a couple of Spares connectors for future expansion. Its bulky with twice the wires to the looms I normally produce.

Progress today after 2 weeks of not being able to work on the car I went over to Marks & stripped down the Block & fully cleaned it. The mods to the dry sump were finalised so those 2 parts can be modded. The sump to be welded to fit this application & the Block for more oil supply mods above those that Mark does at big Power.
Today I also met Nick who owns the 180mph Capri & asked if he would drive my car if I was not allowed to drive (will explain) he said it will be a
privilege Rod .
Around Christmas time I started to notice a problem with my right eye, I don't wear glasses so was very surprised it got a lot worse over the next month or so went for an eye test. Ended up seeing a Specialist & it was confirmed 2 weeks ago that I have Macular degeneration. It cant be cured & I know what will happen in a few years as my Mum had the same & it started at my age . I have to wear Dark Glasses for driving as its caused by Sun damage. They say commuting for 30 years driving into the Sun may have caused it not helped by a Viscous detachment of the Retina a few years back. Im fine at the mo as my left eye is just fine.

Still very impressive that you can squeeze a get deal of power out of a 1970's pinto derived block.

When do you think it will be ready Rod? RS coombe?

Bugger! Sorry to hear that about your eyes Rod, people take their health for granted, (me included). Hope some sort of treatment will be possible in the near future (never give up hope)

There are new drugs for Mac deg, and a company close to you have been done for holding back the good stuff, do not let it get you down, stem cell research are making massive gains in this area and more field hospital are right at the front.

If you need any other hot shoes to drive it I have had some Experience and car control is in the bag of tools.
