Great to see decent progress at last!
A good tip I was given when mine was done to protect your rear arches from going scabby again it to squirt some old engine oil in the rear quarters. It will drip all the way round and out the sill in front of the wheel. you'll never get waxoil in there and oil will get all the way into the joins. It works a treat!

its worked for me mate. 4 years later not a single bubble has come back.
prob worth doing the sills too, although you can get wayoil into them ok. could always just thin it down a bit with oil to help it get right into the joints between the panels?

It's going in on the 29th to have the exhaust made and then after that it's start up time.

Great progress ,the waxoyl you want is dinitrol 3125 with the long nozzle ,in spray cans it drips through anything, did our e30 with it and it dripped through the gaps in the metal round the spot welds on the sills ,doing the e28 next and all the other cars

I used 4 litres of Dinitrol in my sills and arches then another 2-3 litres of the rust treatment stuff/cavity wax in the chassis, really hope its as good as everybody says!

Did you have new arches fitted Glenn? I'd so where did you get them from? I couldn't get decent quality ones anywhere when I built mine so repaired them and they gone bad again
