Ive been on zsoc.com just over a 3 years now so i thought its time to join another forum,and thought i would start by putting up a project thread.




I picked her up on April 10th 2010 after looking for 6months for a 52 plate,with air-con as a minimum extra , FSH, obviously red, reasonable milage and under Ł2.5k.

So she had:
FSH,
Air-con,
Milltek cat-back exhaust,
Tinted windows,
Clear side repeaters,
Professionally painted 16" mondy wheels with zetec-s on them,
4 New tyres,
72k on the clock,
6 months tax,3 months warranty,hpi clear,
All for Ł2,200.

She had the some wear and tear as you would expect,stone chips slight bubbling on drivers rear arch and a phase 1 airbag cover, but i like it as it matches the dash surround.
Anyway,enough boring talk,pics!!
The day i bought her:

 

Put the zsoc.com stickers on and i got a laguna splitter off a member off zsoc,it had never been cut,good price.also bought a replica freestyle grill and tinted the headlights and put a sunstrip on



Plug socket

 

Bought a bonnet bra and smoked side repeaters,wind deflectors

 

Added some Fordzetecsport stickers,tinted rear lights and pics of Roxanne at FiTG

 

　
and also bought some OSRAM DIADEM bulbs,and flat wipers.

 

I decided to suede my interior as ive always thought it look smart,so i did all 6 pillars,and roof.Sprayed the visors and map light black,then the grab handles(sourced a 2nd one for drivers side) and a pic of my ka gear knob & refurbed steering wheel

 

I bought these off a member on zsoc for a very good price:




They were Ł375,he had'nt even taken them out of the box so they were new imo.

So Roxanne did look like this



And fitted some Tulsia eye brows:

 

Finally got some pics of my interior L.e.d conversion.The pics don't look as good as in person,but you get the idea





I can alternate my stereo between the 2 colours




Just need todo the heater panel now

I managed to get a piper manifold for Ł80 posted!

 

Bought a Euro light,KA rear wiper,and sprayed it gloss black.Also tinted the fog lights:

 

 

 

 

 

Then went to Brooklands with zsoc.com

Roxanne had her MOT on Thursday morning,and she passed with flying colours!!

Only had 3 Advisory's which were:

Various metal pipes corroded,

Various Underside corrosion,

All brake flexi hoses perished.

I asked my tester about the corrosion and he said there just part of the new way of testing in the MOT.Any visible surface rust,no matter how petty,is an advisory.

Bought some Puma wiper arms as there better:



and after a little trip to Lightening Motor Sport

So Me and a mate got my 1.6



Found the cause of my problems



(head gasket pissed out 4.25 litres in 1200 miles


And fixed it



Also managed to get the black coolant & water caps for free too!!

Quick spec of the engine

1.7 puma with 1.7 box
New cylinder head with everything replaced on 500miles,bottom end 35K
Oc Motorsport "frp" cams
New clutch,plugs etc

It has previously ran 155bhp iirc with the frp inlet + map

 

And iv'e made a small list of things i would like to get done before FiTP 2012:

Re-furb/trim Steering wheel
Source some black alloys
Spray the bottom lip in front bumper gloss black
Ph1 Grill
300mm set up,braided lines all round.

9 weeks will fly by tbh,so better get my arse in gear!!

Thanks,i have,but a lot of it are small things,things that maybe ford should have done from production

 

Really like that. You notice a difference with the Puma lump in it? always wanted to do it when i had mine, just never bit the bullet.

Thanks.yea i have mate,my 1.6 was down on power though.it was running 96bhp,and with my mod's it should have been at least 118-120bhp.This thing shifts,it really does!! LMS said to expect 135-140bhp so it's a 40odd increase for me

I absolutely love your Fezz!!

How come it needs a resto as it looks great in the pics.

Also your mates Fezz looks well cool on the Mondy ST alloys.

 

Great looking fez, heres my one, bought a few months back, failed mot on a sill. Was going to patch up and sell on, but its got a puma conversion tape ecu etc, so im going to rip its guts out and put em in a mini im restoring

Passengers side had previously been repaired + sprayed badly before I bought it and it was starting to pink
Both arches rotting
Scratch/dink on every panel

So I took the plunge

I dont mate, I bought it as is, wasn't planning on doing much to it, just flopping it for a bit of profit etc, but the engine is running so sweet, its got the 4_2_1 manifold etc, fast for what it is, so when I start restoring this mini mayfair, i'l do away with its engine, and put the puma set up in the mini! Will start a thread when the time comes, but heres a pic of the mini as it currently sits

I drove a Mini recently and you couldn't remove the grin from my face!!

It does, and I'm putting in more aggressive cams and inlet with a live map when it comes back, should be around 150-160bhp
