OK, i did big up the merc up SLIGHTLY, i wasnt the madman that paid over 101,000 quid for it back in 1996! hahahaha. they are going cheap with milage and the fact that fuel cost is getting out of control... the merc was a steal for only 2900Ł! (now that really was a lovely valentines gift TO ME) . but i can probably go bother the previous owner living it large in spain for a reciept if it REALLY bothers you.. oh wait... the REVIEWS can tell you all about how much these things costed even without extras. so i dont need to.

It should be more easy to wrap a rx8 with a capri though. Or you can put the rx8 in the backseat of the benz

the capri is the same size and shape as the mazda so, looking at the expert drawings in this thread, he's obviously decided that a big heavy v12 making nearly 400 brake is a much better option than the 1.8 vw lump he was thinking about

and it makes sense, there are loads of them, and i'm sure there will be a plentyfull supply of cheap spares like pistons and stuff because it's going to be cheaper to make 12 forged pistons than it is to make just 4

it's a sure fire hit and i bet folks will be searching ebay RIGHT NOW looking for big Ł100k v12 mercs to strip bits out of

just look at this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-MERCE...item2ebb21e921

But it is to easy to wrap the rx8 with a capri. Martin has skills enough to wrap the Benz with the RX8. Never mind about the size, it should be easy like doing it with the Capri 777.

If you spent Ł2900 on a merc you gonna cut then you must be on drugs...

I think people would take it more serious if it wasnt for your laxidasical attitude to the infact massive project you are taking on and your blatant disregard for any helpful information.

On the other hand I would gladly eat humble pie if you end up with a Capri looking Mercedes with a MOT, so get some pics up...

thats the year 2003, and again, its USED, the second the first owner bought my merc the price dropped to half anyway, like it does with most cars. dozy sod.
are you annoyed at me for spending my time and money on heavy and expensive engines and 'big jobs/ideas', (and my very vague drawings to outline what im trying to describe) instead of YOU?! hehehe

makes more sense to ME to shove the boat right out rather than get an engine i would hate after a few seconds of driving with it.

ah no, i know what your worried about now, DONT WORRY, everything will be fine. when i start putting the two structures together, ill remember to leave PLENTY of room for BOOTSPACE.

ill be needing that for when i cart some of your bodies to sinkholes...

"I think people would take it more serious if it wasnt for your laxidasical attitude to the infact massive project you are taking on and your blatant disregard for any helpful information." i know its a massive job, but the reason i dont particularly give a damn about OTHER PEOPLE telling me that, is because it DOES NOT PHASE ME IN THE SLIGHTEST. im not restricted. if i REALLY get stuck, ill simply PAY someone to sort it out. job done. so why bitch on and on about how 'awfully hard its gonna be' blah blah blah. i know whats involved. otherwise i wouldnt even bother attempting ANYTHING, myself.

frankly the less other people have to touch my car, the better.

I think most people inc my self just have a hard time realistically have trouble in seeing what you have as a idea and what will actually become a reality,

Ive worked in the car industry most of my working life i know what you are doing is going to be hard, long and involve either alot of cash or skill, i dare say it would be quicker, easier and less problems if you got a company to build you a space frame chassis and to the required size then go from there.

As people have already said its one think to make it and a totally different ball game to make it legal.

And i mean this in a nice way and not to mock.

WOW, and if i was a Male with a STANDARD capri body doing it all YOUR WAY, you'd shower me with praise. nice one!

YOU, still need to realise that - you are confusing me with someone who will actually do what you and everyone else wants. do you not UNDERSTAND that spending 3 grand on a perfect paint and body finish is not a particularly clever thing to do when you have to gring the car down and do another bodies worth of welding..? did you have an education AT ALL i wonder? hum. oh yeah and MR GOUT, it takes a little longer than a few minits, to make building progress. so funnily enough, even MYSELF, will have to wait for pics for half a year.

AMAZING

I actually followed this car up the M6 recently, there was a motorbike which seemed to be in a similar stylee.

I reckon you're all out of order this is pure fun and a bit of a laugh and I bet the owner really doesn't care.

Not for me, not for many but for the owner.

I followed it for about 20 miles and was desperate to get along side I just chuckled, thought cool and drove on.

NICE ONE!

Couldn't miss it - was popping flames out on the over run - I thought you were in a convoy as it was similarly styled to your car.

I'm going to label it Adams Family Sheek.

So in 6 months time we will have one fucked capri, one fucked merc and one REALLY fucked person with no arms or legs eating the biggest slice of humble pie known to man.

Quick Reply: 500+hp Capri. but with one SMALL difference..
