Capri 2.8i Underside cleanup
Hi Everyone,
Ive had my capri for about a year or so now, its my first rwd car so i thought i would take it to one of those Drift what you brung days at santapod, thats when the innevitable happened. I now need a replacement diff, and suspect wheel bearings.
So i decided to just take the axle out and possibly source another or get it repaired, then while its out clean up the underside a bit
Never done it before so it should be interesting, anyways heres where im at
and in its current resting place!!!
This is what im left with, could do with some ideas on best way to treat it, not looking for concourse or anything, just to make sure it lasts a good few more years

PassionFord Post Whore!!
To clean it up under there will really depend on how far you wanna go with it.
Minimum it wants a quick wire brushing, maybe on a grinder. Some rust treatment ie ku rust?
Some primer then some stonechip aerosols should tidy it up nicely.
Good luck with it.

Cheers fellas,
I dont want to go to mad as i dont want it off the road too long, was going to clean the rust off, then rust treat, then red oxide primer, then stonechip it. Trouble is that when im under it i cant quite get at the bits i want so im tempted to take the tank out now as well......... in for a penny. lol
