MK4 Rs turbo Rearwheel drive Restoration
Hi everyone joined thew days ago.
basicaly i own a s2 rs turbo rearwheel drive convershion which i did over 12 years ago .its bean parked for the last ten years around my dads house in the rain and bit of sun we get
ive walked past this car for last ten years thinking i will get that back on road oneday well that day has come
i have stripped car down to bare rolling shell ,engine (pinto 2.1 fired second time when turned over before removed)
it has now gone in to paintshop where i spent last 6days welding
here's thew pics of car sofar
will update with new pics work progresses
O'yer looking for decent tailgate and frontbumper if anyone has any pm me

thanks everyone for your interest.
hear's thew more pic's
the sunroof has now completely gone,could not fit rollcage in with factory fitted sunroof .
so welded in plate and was filled by the top sprayer& bodyman mccase
fuel cap filled and molded in ,got alley tank to go back in boot
and some more
the main reason im doing this car is for trackdays and to drive it there will update pics as i progress

ok here's pic's of progress sofar .
one of maccase spraying first undercoat layer he say's it will be finished friday but! 4xfridays have come and gone mybe he means pancake friday when ever that is

Excellent project, good bit of engineering.
Can you give me some help, i want to do what youve done a RWD my mk4, how did you go about it with yours?
I can see you didnt do the normal but and shut sierra floor. Did you use a sierra for measurments etc?
Any advice is welcome, i want to know as much as possible before i start mine.

car is now completly resprayed inside and out[white now], have wireing back in car
thats about it still trying to sorse parts ,trying to find headlineing with no sunroof hole mission impossible sofar
have some pic's will sort out soon

if your after puting seirra running gear in ,2 ways
either chop the seirra floor out bulkhead front stut tops the lot boot floor wiv chassie legs strut tops same as front, section the floor an weld back together
or just cut tunnel out part bulk head an weld in strut tops ,an make ur own back mounts
there few nocking bout on hear forgive me pointing that out besta luck
ps get sum pics up m8 sound like you been busy

im just waiting on the painter gettin a min to do mine then its playtime lol
took it for test run with no windows, after 80mph the safety goggles fly off lol

No more trackdays for this Scoob for a while, we got 3 laps of a track session at Rally Day before it spun a shell.....tick tick tick tick booooomm!!!!

ok here's update on this thread been a very long time but!! job done.
only got standard pinto head on at moment, have group 1 head+cam+twin 45 webber's to fit yet
pushes it up to 170-180bhp pritty tame by today's standards but still good fun on
quafe strait-cut g/box and quafe lsd.
focked dash
subaru 4pots on 285mm disc's

its only got 4-speed type E gear box in with quafe straitcut gear's 1st gear is like pulling away in 2nd then it only drop's 2000rpm between gear's quick once you have pulled away and sounds the ''nuts'' with the twin 45's fitted
1 have a type 9 gearbox out of 2.8 capri anyone know how strong these are?
