Got a quote today of £1600 to spray the car inside and out.... Ford gloss black
Is that quite expensive? The car is already stripped and sanded down, only 1 or 2 small dents

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
esc mate proper pukka bitta kit 4 around £50, just then need a zetec coil pack and leads, but it can even run the scorpio/rs coil on plugs(some how?) and ull need an after market cps or do what ive done and mount a trigger wheel 2 the face of the crank pulley, as for the cams theres a big differance in them and are a lot better when using carbs, as for the type 9 it bolts straight and except the rs2k clutch plate but i had to cut the middle outta me clutch fork and bring it foward 12mm

think i might take the simpler option and sell the rs2k and buy a 2.0 pinto engine so i can get it on the road faster.....

yeah seen a few running the vis scorpio system... i dont have any knowledge of wiring to that degree so would still need to pay someone to do it, so wouldnt really work out cheap in the long run, but thanks anyway mate.....

trust me its so easy, its 2 wires and 2 plugs abit of vacumn hose and job done, on my last rr mine came in at 153 bhp at f/w and thats bog standard on a twin choke weber, itll cost over a grand to get that out of a pinto, ask around the zetec chaps 4 advice but trust me its piss easy
another thing what inlet manifold are you using for the twin carb? only one ive seen is the burton one at over £200

Has anyone ever modified one of these lower lips to fit along with the whale tail spoiler? Results?
Think it's off a 85 glsi? It is much shorter than the one that was on the car( 1600l ) it fits the bootlid perfectly, both 52.5cm....

Update
Car is now away to the body shop for a full respray inside and out in frozen white. Decided that diamond white was too dated and it would never look good compared to modern white cars
Anyway I will try to get as many pics ad I can of the car in paint.
Cheers for looking

called in today as i got a call saying the car was fully primed. safe to say im delighted it looks great already... the kit hasnt been done yet as there was quite abit of damage so its slowing things down
i decided to go with a bmw white, a happy medium between ford diamond white and frozen white( way to modern on a old car once i seen it in person )
also bought a set of newly refurbed 16'' mondeo si alloys with 2 good tyres for £100, which i didnt think was bad.... not the nicest wheel in the world but money is tight at the minute.
cheers for looking heres a few pics
