Mk1 3dr Sierra L model - update -

Heard about this car a few months ago and went to see it last night car was sittin in a shed covered for years

Its a 1985 3 door 1.6 base

[FONT=verdana]the underneath and bodywork is very clean for its age, just dirty atm, planning a full resto underneath anyway.

i already have a full cossy kit, wheels, interior from my other 3 door.
i have a rs2000 16v sitting to go in possibly.... Any suggestions? Limited due to insurance costs

il let the pictures do the talking, cheers for looking

agree with you not the most powerful engine:cry: goin to fit 40s/45s and set of cams aswell before it goes in, should take it to 160bhp+

but i dont have the funds for a yb. maybe some stage down the line

i have a 24v sierra which is more than fast enough to keep me happy

I'm amazed cars like this keep cropping up, I wonder how many more are stashed away. Should be a nice little daily driver with the rs2k lump in it :)

jameswrx 20-08-2011 05:20 PM

the underneath and bodywork is like new, car has never seen or needs a welder:DD: paintwork isnt the best because it was sitting for so long, getting sprayed anyway.
I'd be pretty pissed off if my new car was delivered in that condition underneath

Does look in good solid order though.

car hadnt moved in probably 6/7 years, its gettin resealed and painted underneath

its just the exhaust and back axle that lets it down cause of the rust, and the back axle is getting swapped for a disc brake back end anyway so no point cleaning it
