Havent really got as much done on the car as i wanted because i wasnt able to get it insured for another year
good in some ways cause i have my time to work at it now and get the right bits.
Took the interior and carpets out to have a look at the floor, never seen one in as good of shape in my life
also a few pics of the PAS front arch, where my old 3 door was stone cold rotten,,, not a glimpse of any rust on this one
And pics of the inner arch

Mate it to a T5, just cut the flange off a nissan box and have it ally welded to the T5 box. I had a 200sx with a jag getrag gearbox, cossie clutch and nissan flywheel/clutch pressure plate, so a cossie clutch would be able to be used, just the problem of the flange to mate engine and box!
I sold my low comp forged engine for Ł1000 and power FC for Ł200

would want to stick with the type 9 and thats what made me think redtop, and its only 5 wires to get it running.

Yeah, nice find, I had a mint two door once, I mean it was mint, in every way - no cracks on the dash. No rot, amazing she was.
It was a one owner from new, kept in a garage, waxoyled, I can't remember the milage accurately but somewhere around 75 thousand.
To make it even rarer - it was an automatic, 1.6 pinto with the C3 (?) gearbox.
I got it from a bloke in Cannock, drove it home to Yorkshire and one week later it was nicked.
Angry does not even describe how I felt.....sometimes still feel.
I have some photographs of it, I shall post some up on here (your thread) if you don't mind?
When I got it I was very pleased, pleased that I would finally get to make a two door Coz rep, needless to say it never happened, some of the blokes at work were telling me to leave it as it was, standard, I just ignored them and started dredging the bay for bits.
It's only now, four years later, I know there are very, very few of these left.
As it happens it's your car and I think you should do what you want to do to it, there is nothing stopping anyone getting a 2 door Cos rep and reversing that process, it could be easily undone by those that have the will and energy to do a propper restoration.
How about someone who's a bit mad, with a few quid buys a propper 2 door Cos and strips it down, sells all the bits and makes a 1.6 boggo sierra 2 door!
Now that would be different!

This was in reference to posts on the previous page where people were saying that you should leave it standard/you should rep it blah blah blah
As for engine choice, personally, I don't see whats so wrong with the RS2000 engine myself?
Is the one you have actually from an RS2000 mk5 Escort? Or is it a Scorpio 16v head on a Sierra 8v block?

seems alot of effort fro all of maybe 160bhp especially when there is much better tunable engine out there like the zetec or redtop

Absolute shame, I agree with the guy saying a 3 door sierra of any model isnt just rare, they're damn nearly extinct here in the UK. Before bolting half of a cosworth on you should really consider how many of these 1.3 or 1.6 shells are left because I can assure you theres alot more cosworths about. As much as I love the look of the cosworth, id definately have more appreciation for a tidy 1.3 or 1.6 3 door sierra passing me even if they arent half as good looking. I guess the guys mind is made up and in some ways I don't blaim him for putting the cosworth parts on, personally I wouldn't go 'frozen white' I think the colour looks too modern, Id most likely opt for the diamond white Nice project and to the guy who had his sierra burnt, I hope you catch those wankers and cut there nuts off as sad as it seems, it put a slite downer on my afternoon seeing pictures of a 3 door sierra burnt out
