Small update.Fitted my new number plate lights today.The old ones were too big and dull so i got hold of some new ka number plate lamps with led bulbs(bmw style) and incorparated them into the connect plynth.A bit of glue and cutting later resulted in this.

Also gloss blacked the TRANSIT CONNECT badge.




Another little touch that did,nt cost that much, which is what this van is all about.

 

Looks superb, makes you want to go out and buy one!

just buy a damages focus st and swap the loom engine and front running gear over looks mint

 

Get it mapped and wind up the boost, decat and zorst! done!

 

looks great.i had a little silver one with st alloys.loved it but they are the worst vans in the world for fuel.mines was low milage aswell.

Yes ,if you say it quick it don,t sound so time consuming.Will ask the mrs if we can spend Ł3000 or so on my van.

Hasn't this been tried and failed a few times now, as the engine/box is just tooooo wide for the mk1 focus / connect engine bay?

 

is there much diffrence between the st and rs engine as my connect has the rs engine and it went strait in

 

That looks really really good mate.

 

Looks fantastic, I'd likely leave it alone performane wise after I got a basic remap done, which I'd do on any TDi car if I owned it, but apart from that it'd be a great wee daily.

I agree the grey plastics could do to go gloss black, but apart from that it looks spot on.

There's one extra cylinder to make room for. I think the gearbox is quite small compared to the RS box, but the extra width of the engine is what causes the trouble. I know it has been attempted many times before to get one in a connect / mk1 focus (which are the same under the bonnet), but i've yet to see one actually fitted!

 

I'm liking these little vans at the mo as well. look sweet

Also got some carbon fibre adhesive film off ebay and decorated the inside.





Suspension has also settled down and sits a little lower

etc would look mint smoothed and painted gloss black

 

What about the rear how do you convert them to four stud??

How easy is this axle flip im in aylesbury just seen company in wycombe only down rd from me but nearly Ł600 notes

 

So by doing this could you put connect hubs on a mk1 focus ?

nice van just for people wondering about lowering connects my bro at csg can sell self build kits or will fit the kits need to speak to the man hes done loads and building another rs connect now
