I think the best tip would be to stop
The only Escorts I've with the V6 in ended up with way too much cut out of the front of them, or dodgy engine mount positions.
Not a good conversion IMO!

if you got on www.escortcabrioletclub.co.uk im sure there is a build threwad for this unfortunatly the guy that built it has since passed away
all the weight over the front wheels of an overwise light car like a corsa and your away to 13 second quarters in a sorted machine

and then record the v6 mondy sound to cd and listen when u drive imo mate !!!
Astra looks like a very tidy conversion!
I remember there was a rover 25 at combe a couple of years back, it had a v6 in it (out of rover 45 / 75 maybe?) at was all on the piss in the engine bay, driveshaft angles were all over the place, it looked like a pissed up cow sat in the engine bay!
I think if you spend some time fitting it properly getting everything right then it could be a good conversion, but just lob it in and it will ruin the car.
Although, seeing as a 2.0 zetec will pretty much keep up with one it just seems not really that worthwile to do, especially as the zetec is a much stronger engine and has a bigger tuning potential.

Thats why I didnt want a zetec as everyone goes down that route,,, the v6 has a great sound, solid performance n run forever if maintained properly, besides, there rnt many v6 conversions out there so why not be different,,,,,
Maybe there's a reason why it isn't a popular conversion....

There is good reasons it isn't popular - you have to butcher the car to make it fit and it's not even very powerful.
Far better options out there IMO.

Had it back between november and febuary. Police kept giving me jip as it was a marked car!!! Sold it to a guy who broke it. Also had genuine TS200 leather interior!!

Hmmm, it can be done, and it can look quite clean too, not my sort of project though, did own a golf v6 4 motion not too long ago, and the v6 sound is quite something....petrol prices soon put a stop to that love affair..
Anyhow, back in 07 went to rsoc, think in Rockinham, not sure, took pics of this cab...
Can't help but think, there are much easier ways of getting the same power, but i am just going off topic...
Not really a fan of the colour but the rear spoiler has got to be a first, worth more than the cab lol

The Vaux engine would be a better bet if you're determined. I think fitting in the rear would be far more awesome though!
I'm sure I was told the mounts in that yellow cab were a bit suspecr. Might be wrong though.
imo rear engined cars are a bit shit as there far too noisy and get very hot in cab, unless you can fab an awesome divide between engine and driver which is even more hassle.
if your going to all that trouble of cutting the back end out, just to fit a pretty crap engine. i'd just fit a v8 the right way round and run a rear diff.
i know its a lot bigger job, but if i had the fabrications skills its what i would be doing.
