I love the look of those lights and front bumper. I REALLY want a US Spec UK Based Focus. Anyone know whether these parts would be compatible with a UK spec mk1 Focus Estate?

Parts are comparable with the mk1. You would need the hood, front wings, bumper, headlights, grille, and washer fluid bottle.

Would it all need to be US spec or would mk2 UK spec front end work as well? However if I can find the right US spec parts I'd probably snap them up

Uk mk2 is totally different.
Us what I'd call mk1.5 (what I have) is based off the mk1 so you'd have to swap it onto a mk1. Parts should be super easy to get on ebay in the us. You may just have issues getting parts shipped, like we do having stuff shipped to us from the uk

Yeah I guess I know what you mean. Seeing yours made me want to do something different with mine so it's just a case of finding the stuff now and seeing what I can get it all for.

However I'm really liking the idea of getting another MK1 for for racing with a US Spec front end like yours

You should do it!

Got the red car running again... Figured out the issue we were having... Now it just needs paint and a new seat belt... But it's drive able!

Black car got some paint in the motor bay, for some reason ford didn't paint half of my motor bay... It was very annoying seeing the greenish primer in my bay.

Painting it a semigloss black...

My father texted me this photo today... We had cleaned the motor a few weekends back but neither was satisfied with it... Lets call it good now.

Got the black car started and running this weekend... Few small things left o do and Bon cars are done... Biggest thing is paint on the red car...

Pulled the black one out of the shop and parked it next to the red one.

Back in the shop until the weather warms up...

I love the look of the front end so might just start with the smaller bits like the front grill (love the indicators in the grill) can have a smoother front end then.
Trying to get as much sorted to the focus before I go away but at the same time got so much work on atm that it is difficult

Photos from the first page must have been moved on my Facebook.

Friend came by yesterday with a pretty nice camera and took some photos.
Here are 4 he sent me just to tease me on the good ones.

Thanks it's the us "sap" or "street appearance package" front bumper. Was an option on our mk1.5s from 06-07 super hard to come by now and cost an arm and a leg

Recent updates... Not a whole lot. Added some corbeau A4 seats and wrapped my exterior B pillar trim gloss black because they were fading bad.
Went to a car show about 6 hours away.
The guy who took the photos I posted above was along and got a bunch of great photos of the car on the way down while it was pouring rain.

Sun came out for the show thank gods car cleaned up ok considering what it looked like after our drive down. This photo was taken before the awards were handed out, these were just ask awards. Though I did get 2 more this year at this show to add to the collection.

Plans for this winter are to hopefully clean the engine bay up a bit, hide some more wiring and make it just neater overall. Hoping to get some new wheels also before next years show season as these are starting to show their age.

Cost of shipping can be brutal. I've had to bite the bullet a few times and have parts shipped from your side of the pond over here.

The rolling shot in the rain is awesome, I blew it up and printed it on canvas at work to hang on my wall as a "display" piece. My boss laughed and said it's just an excuse to have a picture of my car up at work.... He might not be wrong.
