I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I have just ordered some large industrial glue lined heat shrink from ebay and going to use that for the rear shafts, not sure how good it will be but worth a try,
I think it was 55mm 3:1 and will give them a nice black plastic look.

I will do but you will probably have yours finishing by the time I get round to it, I still have to much to do but not enough time to do it,
Trying to fit it in with other things like Work, finishing the Kitchen, Decking the back Garden and a few jobs round me mothers house and before I know it another year will have passed and another summer I will have missed,

Thanks fella
Got everything sitting here to build it back up, apart from swirl pot and pipe and fittings as putting new fuel setup in the car,
i sent all the alloy bits to someone else to be vapor cleaned as first guy bead blasted them, when i asked for the parts to be vapor cleaned?. so had to get the difff stripped as he wouldn't do it if i didn't, so then i got all new bearings and seals for it. (good old ebay)
I will have to post some pics of the parts i had vapor cleaned as the bloke who done it is second to none. He does more bike bits then cars bits. but i would send anyone to him
Work looks like it might be a bit Quiet over the next few weeks so hoping to get the car done for ford fair???????
we will see? hope i will post some updates soon

got all drive shafts cleaned today and ready to build back up, and noticed that two of the bearing carriers have got the number 6 stamped on them and two have 8 stamped on them, and all have a machined grove around one side.
Does anyone know can you put them back anyway or is there a right way?

been doing some more cleaning up under the car this week.
I want to try and get it painted by the weekend. I also dropped the diff off to have rebuilt. I also cut a hole in the boot floor to mount the holly lift pump level with the tank, (wish id never done it now) im going to get it all clad in alloy so it will look ok in the end
and some pics
Drive shaft in heat shrink just done it to see what it looked like
The numbers i spoke about anyone know if they go a certain way?
The parts i took to have diff put back together
been told casing has to be milled so diff can come in and out complete
car looking sorry for its self
the bit i wish id never done
and cutting the alloy
bits i had cleaned
