update time ,

alot of progress been made, but of all of it slow teidious rot removal , 99% there now though ,

few piccys

drivers inner wing , stripped, new wing brace fitted red oxide denotes repaired areas

whole bottom lip has been replaced

drivers inner sill strengthener has been repaired , new exterior sill fitted

front of inner sill / exterior sill structure

full rear drivers inner arch fitted , exterior arch lip fitted , arech prepped for kit

this full areas been replaced due to rot

repaired

doors refitted to fit wings

drivers floor pan/ sill area repaird as same on pass side

drivers jacking point sections repaired , pulled out , like new

prepped pass inner

now we struck a bit of an issue when refitting the wings

basically the drivers pattern replacemnt was horrid , would not fit and left nearly a half inch gap to the door when lined up to the bonnet ,

sensing k's anger and frustration , i glanced up and noticed the o.e wing that was removed and ask whats stopping it being refitted ??

upon taking it off the wall it was inspected and found to only have 2 areas that needed attention ,

so k worked his magic , ropped the repair sections from the pattern wing and reapaired the o.e jobbie .

fits like a treat

reapired areas

ove a new wing would of been preferred , but upon seeing the fit that is the only option , and will be a1 once stonegaurded ,

so the wing was then welded on

aftermarket pass side a much better panel

so thats half fitted now - just requiring a few more spotwelds

panel gaps looking well

so wings will be welded up set and finished tomorrow ,

car will be prepped for the spit tomorrow , and will be on and turned over thursday ,

then the real fun begins !!

Wondered what happened to this project.

Good work there See you done the same as me with the rivnuts for mounting the tanks etc, makes it so much nicer I think rather than screwing into the metal where the bolts come loose due to being off and on so many times

from this

to this ,

the floor has been fully repaired , stripped , cleaned , prepped and then was treated to two coats of ind grade red oxide ,

how shes now looking

sealer work started ,

sealers not been fully taped when done as 99% of it will be under stonechip , more care's been taken where it aint .....

sealer will be finished, areas stonechipped and then two coats of primer before the black goes on ......

hope you like ,

me , well i just was the elbow grease lol , its k's attention to detail that really shows lol
