It still not right taken it out again got a helix clutch from matt Lewis going to start putting it in tonight then take the old one back and throw it at him

Got the clutch and gearbox in tonight so hopefully it will be sorted now looks a meaty clutch supposed to be good for 600bhp

Proper clutch. I opted for the ap plate and helix cover.

Dont forget to take it steady so it beds in😉

 

Be nice to have it running again take it easy for awhile then a setup

 

Well the helix is in and all is well took it for a spin feels really good, pedals not as stiff as I expected so that's a bonus
Now have to get my money back for other clutch that's no good

Took the clutch back got a full refund thank god now I can put that behind me and crack on,
Does anyone know what size the washers are that go either Side of the powersteering pipe.
Think there called dotty washer its weaping fluid from that area so going to change them

 

You can us dowty washers but as standard they are copper. Post a pic up and i will measure what u need

Is it the union on the power steering pump with the banjo bolt?

 

Yes they are dowty seals o/d 25mm I/d 15.5 mm 2mm thick

Was mot day today all went well passed ok but need a new steering rack or mine reconditioning leaking fluid, going to whip it off tomorrow

 

Today's task was to swap the leaking rack
Got the old one off, in a bit of a state



And the spare I had ready just swapped everything over



All reconnected and working fine so pulled car out for a quick clean

First show of the year was Sunday at squires cafe had a drive down car was fine need to sort the tracking out, took it nice and steady till it goes for the setup.

 

Nice hopefully out in mine once the brake hoses arrive.

Looks good.

 

Took the capr for the front wheels balancing and the tracking doing, they did the wheels but they couldn't do the tracking they said the couldn't get the gear between the tyre and arch on the rear wheels. Anybody else had this problem


Called in at mates garage while I was out





So still need to get the tracking done

Nice 3 Dr m8 ...had tracking issue on ma s2 ..ah just took it to somewhere that done laser alignment tracking rather than old skool gauge hangers on tyres

Had a bit of time today so decided to do a few bit first was to refresh the 500 grills
Got them sanded and primed



And then some satin black look a lot fresher now

And then the front towing eye was a bit scabby so sanded and painted it much better now

 

Thats looking good matey. Its nice and fresh looking.
