The blocks are pretty much the same, but not indenitcal. For the extra cost of a ST lump (around £700, where as the 2ltr is £300) its not worth it, as the VCT is pretty useless imo, they just dont take that well to turbo-ing

Problem is with putting non VVT cams in Dan, is that the ST170 cams acually have a bigger diameter bearing surface in them, so normal Zetec cams wouldent go in. Do as Excursion says and lock it

yep i locked the cams on my one as well,
We got a few ST engines, but dont sell the heads seperate, they shouldnt be hard to come by really

Updates, I'll perhaps take some pics later. Its very simialr to pics already posted, it's been sat complete in my garage for about a fortnight now. The lad is a bit skint right now (due to holiday), and doesn't have all the cash to put it in the car and get it mapped, so it's just sat looking pretty in my garage (so tempted to put it in mine ).
