I remember my little mark 1 fiesta 950 it was my first car i paid sixty quid for it lol overtaking in it though was always an interesting challenge it involved knowing the roads as dropping it into third was as useful as pissing in the wind so you had to know the roads drop back a bit and start building your speed up so when you got round the bend hoping the road was clear you were out on the sill executing your carefully planned manuver lol it was quite a mission as if there was a car coming you'd have to brake and abort the mission but if you built the speed to early you'd loose the build up having to brake behind the car as you'd caught it before the straight lol

ive got a bad feeling that its not gonna be long till you crash it and completly fuck a mk2 shell because of you driving like a bellend trying to overtake people in your badaman 950. Its gonna be the wrong speed in the wrong place at the wrong time boyo

I dont drive dangerously, mostly just potter about in yes my 950 and if theres no cars behind just stay in second gear and cruise about after work n all day sunday, to overtake there has got to be a HUGE gap to even think about going for it.
This is my pride and joy, i really dont want to crash it
And i do listen to people advice and comments, things will change with this car for the best!

Now i have to say not everything on this car is to my tastes but the guy is young has bought what he can afford to insure and runs the car legally it. He hasn't gone out and robbed it or whatever and should he decide to sell it the new owner can easily change the seats sun strip or whatever you feel the need to be pissing and moaning about.

i bought the Escort just before selling the mk2 for about Ł300
as i needed money for a toolbox, then swapped the Escort for a saxo then swapped that for a Puma then sold that then bought this mk2

Maybe so the thing that annoyed me and i ain't saying it was down to one person is back in the day when these cars were ten a penny there was some truelly shocking stuff done to fiesta's and no one thought anything of it. Now they admittedly are thin on the ground and this young lad has done a few things that isn't what people want him to do he has been repeatedly told to sell it after he has clearly stated it is all he can insure etc but that is not all he has been told he asked for advice about brakes etc and to be fair if he was stupid enough to try it he would be out of pocket at best or potentially insured or killed. yours was just the last post in the whole sell it thing hence i quoted yours.
I just think the lad should be cut some slack it's his first legal car and taste of freedom and although some of the stuff he has thought about i.e the red wheels were shocking i just thought so what if he is happy fair play.
At the end of the day nothing he has done is not reversable and to be fair with the cost that is involved in driving for young people his age to get insured etc i'm just glad he is legal and not into nicking other peoples cars etc or driving about illegally
Anyway as said it wasn't delibratly directed at you you just made the post i quoted

yup this is all true lol but it does work when u drop down a gear and build up the speed i will admit it is a long manuver sometimes and it does take some planning when its not a straight road. Earley morning is fun though just easily over taking on the 40mph duel carridgeway and darting though the traffic trying to get to work on time

btw champ. Ive just bought new 4 pot calipers for my ESRT restore project. Cost me about Ł500. So ive got S2 standard calipers sitting here with almost new EBC pads you can buy off me for Ł25 inc P&P. All you need to do is buy the discs. PM me if you want them. Oh and paint them black.

btw champ. Ive just bought new 4 pot calipers for my ESRT restore project. Cost me about Ł500. So ive got S2 standard calipers sitting here with almost new EBC pads you can buy off me for Ł25 inc P&P. All you need to do is buy the discs. PM me if you want them. Oh and paint them black.

Yep they bolt straight onto the hub. not sure what you mean about offset. the discs standard are 260mm so i think 14' alloys min are required. they come as caliper, bracket and pads.
Just checked. i wont need the caliper carrier bracket bolts, so will let you have them aswell. As im pretty sure the fiesta mounting bolts wont be long enough for the bigger caliper. These will fill the alloys nicely.

Sonny, ive just sent you a PM, regarding some calipers. check it out.
Also check out my Resto thread. shows im genuine and know my stuff. Doing everything myself in my garage with a help from a friend.

While your at it. get yourself some ST/ST goodridge brake flexi hoses.

little update
Decided to take off the cherry bomb and put on a straight pipe to see how it would sound.
Now look at this beauty it sounds absolutely immense, its just a dead straight pipe from a pug 206, but it still has the original small silencer from the downpipe. 5 min job to change back over
it now gets even more looks as its very loud but in a good way, it crackles and pops in every gear so gonna keep this exhaust on for now and ive noticed that the acceleration has defo improved and engine seems much smoother
just a couple of fun window stickers and bought some new number plates aswell
