cheers mate, i was going to get the car painted... but have now decided to do it myself, after wanting to learn to paint for years and years i have decided to learn! i started with my own car, my daily mk4 golf in a hard colour to paint aswell, i didnt take photos of the before unfortunatly but will be doing the tailgate tomorrow so will take photos then, but here are some photos of the base coat clear and then after being polished... this is my 1st ever attempt at painting... what do you think ?
i need to learn how to lay the laqure down a bit flatter as had to do a bit of wet sanding!

car look mint so far pal
and some clear coats you car add 10% thinner to which will help it lay abit flatter or have a word with who ever you get your paint off to make sure you have got the correct set-up in your spray gun mate for the clear coat you are using and and you could try spraying with abit more presure that will help as well mate but not to much as you will get more drit in the finish as you are not in a spray booth that gets rid of the over spary
and ask the chap who you get your paint from for a TDS (technical data sheet) on the clear coat as it will give you some good pointers

dry sump kit has just turned up from titan. i have to get a mount made up for the pump as it doesnt mount to the sump at all because of the new style pump being a differnt size. also obviously the belt wont fit so i will need another belt made up aswell.
il probably be running it at the front of the sump mate and putting a smaller alternator up the back. doesnt seem like you get alot when the delivery turns up lol

ok iv been gone for a wile.... but now im back! as the title says zetec turbo... not anymore. il just let the pictures do the talking im sure ul all catch on quick.
when 2 become 1! it isnt 100% on in the photos just getting it all ready to weld up measure and measure and measure!! hence why the back looks a little high in the pics. but i guess u all get the picture.
