nb lad. mind and get me the number for your man near me breaking the 2 rsts! :L
anyway heres yesterdays update.
got the grinder out and decided that id start to grind old welds down and grind all the shitty rust from the floor.
this led to some more holes. but hey better sorting them now than having to do it later lol
step one. get rid of the sound deadener.
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3446.jpg)
hammer and flat headed screw driver later
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3447.jpg)
another wee picture of the floor were my pedals are. obviously some smart boy jacked her underneath the floor pan.
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3445.jpg)
underneath the sound deadener was this tiny bit more rot.
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3448.jpg)
then this above that.
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3450.jpg)
passengers side was next, same again strip sound deadener. (this is were i used the grinder
![Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3452.jpg)
After
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3453.jpg)
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3454.jpg)
next stop was the boot to make sure it wasnt hiding anything....and it was :L
passengers side boot floor pan just above the chassis leg
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3455.jpg)
then passengers side beside the tower
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3456.jpg)
drivers side beside the tower as well.
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3460.jpg)
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3461.jpg)
and remember the patch that she already had in the boot? well i didnt like the bird shite welding wo i decided to grind it down abit and flatten it and it was a good thing i didnt like it as as soon as teh grinder went near the weld the plate popped up :L good bit of welding there lol
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3458.jpg)
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3459.jpg)
how my old room now looks
![](http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/rr1/garyrsts2/DSCF3464.jpg)
and another wee piece i found. under the bonnet bling lol i like randomly finding rs turbo parts here lol
for sale??

nah thats no rot at all :L the oul boy is doing the welding and he said today 'god this is clean compared to what my xr3i was' so hes confident enough and so im happy with that :L although he isnt looking to use full floor pans. he wants to cut the old rot away and cut the same bit from a new pannel and use it like that. hes the welder so il leave it in his hands lol.
send me that wee weasals number then lad lol
