Not had time to up date as just moved home.

The car is up and running now been sorting the loom out for the brake survo today hope to bleed them tomorrow and mot very soon as i hope to be taking the focus to the ring in 2 week today

 

Very good news to here its now running keep us up to speed mate

 

Ok all have moved house and only just got the net on

the focus is up and running should have went yesterday for a report and mot but had some problems so going to phone them in the morning see if they can get it in as i'm off to the ring next friday so hope all is well

will get some pics up tomorrow

stunning mate and well done on a quick build, is the quad speedo unit all working and was it hard to wire in please.

If there like mine will have a wheel sensor that pick up
Anything that spins , prop wheel ect, and all sensors
Run separate to ecu peice a cake wire up

 

So judging by road pic, are we guessing she passed the MOT???

Dash looks good, how's the Vapor display holding up, do you rate it?

 

Looks great on the raod mate, bet your well chuffed with it after all the work?

 

Dingle probably feels more chuffed, its seeing his first one finally on the road. Nice nostalgic acheivement

The Vapor works good for the price as dingla rs sed it work on a wheel sensor,temp sensor in the water pipeand a wire on the coil

the car is now having a safety check and MOT hope to have it back monday,tuesday time

i have'nt mate you just it in to a water pipe

 

yer i spent lota hours doing the fab work on this ,its great see it transformed and on the road great job mate well done hopefully i mite get a mention if it gos in a mag altho i did the easy bit you boys done the hard work

Any news on the safety check and MOT yet???

 

Hi all

The focus passed the safety check but failed the mot as it had no horn and a petal leak on the fitting on the return pipe so order a new fitting should be here tomorrow and retested just in time for my ring trip

 

Winner, not a bad result at all that!

I'd say so. Anything can be repaired, but the chassis looks well twisted.

The Focus Cossie is an awsome car, but it will bite you in the ass at some point. Very light in the back end, not as much of a boot overhang as on a real Cossie. So it is very wild at any power.

anything can be fixed yes, but would it not be easier starting again on this one?

 

Probably not if the chassis twisted, loads of work involved on a jig to get it straight. Took me ages to resolve a MK3 Fiesta on a jig once, thing was a mess. May as well cut your losses and chop out useful parts and reshell.
