Default Focus cosworth update 19/03/11

Hi all

Ok i brouht this off dingla rs about 2 weeks ago


and i've striped my 2wd saph cosworth to build the focus
this was my sapp



First i'm going to test fit the engine,gear box,diff,prop,intercooler and rad to make sure it all fit ok before it go for paint.

Larst weekend i swaped all the running gear over and today i fitted the engine,rad and intercooler

some pics not the best will get some better ones in the week


had my old wheels on but need spacers so got some team dynamics

test fit the roll cage and seats

this looks like its gonna be a weapon! what sort of power you going for?

even your old saph is stunning mate! if i had the funds right now i would have that,strip mine and put my running gear in it!

the engine is about 380bhp but i'm going for a t38 and 4x4 inlet manifold before it go back on the road would like about 420bhp ish

That saph looked amazing mate, why did you decide to pull it apart rather than build the Focos in the background??

The saph did look stunning but theres nothing like a rwd focos the wheels look a nice fit what offset are they? ill look forward to updates

sebspring is on rsoc,thats who still have id tags and im sure he has car history .probly get a slam pannel tag off ford cheaper tho ,good see you made a start on it

i striped the saph as wanted a change as had it for 8 year and all ways liked the focus rs

The wheel on the sapp aer 8x18 et33 and are for sale for Ł800

I liked the saph had it 8 years but had run out of things to do to it with out going the carbon route

Ok not much off a update

today i've been to the scrap yard and got a full loom to sort out wot i need from it. 3 hour to get it all out of the car

Going tomorrow to get some Focus RS door moulds and all the rubber seals for the doors and boot

Got gear box in just need to mod the cradle to fit the floor then strip it down and get it ready for paint

Hi all

Ok i've to move the window wipe motor as it was hitting the breather pipe and number 4 spark plug lead so moved it to the passage side


Got the rest of the car in primer and the engine bay and under side.
Been out in the gauge today and painted the inside of the car flint grey but need some more paint
i will get some pics up in the week

have you test fitted the wiper's now with the scuttle panel on now you've moved the motor or are you gonna make the arms longer?

not going to have a pollen filter as its only going to be a track car
and the scuttle fits fine as i'm going to make the arms longer.
dingla rs i did look into spaceing the engine down but didnt want the engine be to close to the floor

you have to love these cars as iv read your post about the spark plug lead hitting the wiper motor so i went out and put a lead in my motor and im happy to say im ok .i was going to run a cam triger like my 3dr but looking at it i dont think it will let me
