Ford Sierra Sapphire 2ltr Pinto Cosworth Rep
Well everyone, new to this site. Im Jake, im 16 and from omagh northern ireland. Got this sierra about 5 months ago, swapped my old project sierra for it. Its a 2ltr pinto cossie replica, progress was slow up untill now as work closed down when i bought it meaning i had no real income, but got work again there so progress will be starting. So anyway to start off with the car.
This was the picture of the car before i viewed it
Basically turned out, engine was running mint, but was missing some bits and pieces, she was solid in all the right places, wee bit off bubbling here and there and a bit off work to do, which reflected in the price so i was happy and bought her.
When i got her home and gave her a good clean
As said, engine was running well but was ropey looking, got oil filler cap, and generally gave it a good wipe down. Got it fully serviced and checked up, only thing it needs before mot again according to mechanic is a steering rack so happy enough Will be updated this weekend with a few new additions
Had door mouldings for it, got the red stripe vinyl'ed over, and got them stuck on which imo helped the car alot.
Then me and another lad arranged a small meet off sierras around our area at the start of october.
Thats all for now, but big updates this weekend. Before and After pics, cheers for looking folks

Looks nice, nice to see another young Sierra enthusiast it seems from your meet theres a few around your way but we are a selective bunch haha!
As to your last question yes a set of twin Webers are popular with these, this combined with a performance camshaft and headwork can see around 170-180HP, there very tunable engines!
What is the trim level? I notice you have no electric windows which seems strange.

You will be fine so long as you respect the car and others, it's a sad fact of life that the minority of young drivers are idiots this combined with there inexperience is a receipe for disaster hence the one bad apple situation is reflected on our insurance premiums!

Well, as said i would update today, unfortunatley not with everything i had in mind. Was for sanding down and respraying arch's, diy'ing the jacking point covers, painting boot floor, spraying skirts and generally tidying it up. Was too cold to do any painting so ended up just filling the front bumper crack and replacing tail light and trying to sort out the electrics.
Bumper off
Cracks fibreglassed
Will have more updates next weekend if weather permits
