Matter of interest how are you planning on insuring it ?
Im also 16 and have a 1.4 Puma and have been quoted €6,500 for it.
My Dad has a 1992 2.0i GT Sierra and he has said if i get cheap insurance on it, I can have it.

i proper dont get you irish boys, how on earth do you get all these sierra's. im 17 too and although have built and funded the mk1 fiesta, i helped my dad build the p100, and have maybe driven it once or twice at night on private roads but could NEVER insure the thing let alone pay for 4 different sets of wheels, stage 3 engines etc. :S so are you guys really loaded? do you take all the cred for group work? or are the rules abit different over there? for example you say your 16 then you have a sierra meet up? are you driving the car at 16 and are the other guys 16/17 too? :O

there more of a culture thing here, cruising, driting etc, rather than for shows and racing etc..
i have been able to fund it as i do try and do as much of it as possible and only take it to garages if its really needed, and i am getting alot of help from mates etc...
i have had a few field cars but ive been driving since i was around 11., and friends have always been around the rally scene.
guess were just crazy

Im 16, 17 in less than a month, its called hard work lad i work as a plumber and work on a farm since i have been 13 and save every penny. I cannot afford insurance on my own name so im going under my mothers name untill im 18 and off r plates. What do you mean do i take cred for group work? Me and 2 other mates do all my work on my car and as they arnt on here no point in saying anything when they arnt on this to thank it, ive thanked them plenty in real life. And lastly the sierra meet, my ma drove it as my da and mates wherent free and anywhere else my mates/da drives it. And no anyone else in the sierra meet are over 25.

Next time you post on this thread if your going to ask questions make it decent ones and try sounding less jealous.
I take constructive critism well and will thank you for it along with any complements.

As said conor, no point in posting unless your commenting on the car or asking me a decent question. All you's are doing is spamming the thread

Sprayed the steelies again today as there going to be used over the winter untill the icey mornings go away, will get finished pics tomorow as will have to wait for lacquer to dry now. Didnt even use half a tin of ford diamond white, thankfully as its dear as fuck, and used over half a tin of lacquer, made sure i plastered on a good thick coat of it lol
The better of the two before
1st Coat
2nd Coat
Other ones 2nd Coat
3rd Coat and lacquer'ed
Other one's 3rd Coat and lacquer'ed
