Blimey, i was just wondering how you were getting on and saw this post.
Sh1t the bed, silverware already, top effort by a top man
I honestly don't know how you find the time and effort to work, build a car and satisfy the wife
No wonder my cars not finished, i prefer a warm bed to a cold garage.
Very very pleased for you Tony

sorry mate,
how many races did you do last year,
trying to get my mate to convert his thunder saloon back to standard so he can race it,
do you have any thunder saloon sierra in your championship?

new season approaches...
A few things i want o sort out for this year.
The front bumper has an arc in the middle that makes it look like the car is sitting really high , im going to sort that out but rather than use this...
ive decided to make . modify the carbon Kevlar bumper ive been keeping as a spare .Ive trimmed a 12mm Marine ply plank to fit under the lower lip and fastened through with allen bolts that pick up on the brackets for the "Adjusters " .
The plank will be trimmed when i remove it later today for Cuprinolling , dont want dry rot creeping in ,lol . The adjustment for the lower blade is done on a pair of stainless steel lightweight yachting rods, left and right hand threaded so they wind out easier.
So for that all important downforce on track , the front of the car will now be lower and look the business too . Lee , expect a call ref bumper irons !
Then , the old rally Bilstein crap rear shox are going to be replaced with Penske triple adjustable dampers, 3" of total travel and 4"long springs should do the job properly .
More later !

Lee, Hello mate ,i'll bell you in the morning now i have the measurements !
First , fit a piddly little headlight for extra air flow to the filter and intercooler ....
thenmake a cold air box for the base of the bumper to direct airflow through the rad and intercooler ..
Then attempt the first fit up of the new bumper , diablo you shoud pay attention to this bit !!
The distance to the buper is now 200mm from the last hole in the chassis for the bumper iron , so pick up the phone and call Lee to make some new alloy ones ..
