3dr Cossie Replica - Pics of the new engine

Right - so my astra is now scrapped which means i now have space and time to crack on with this.
Going to try and finish off the seat rails which i started to paint black a while ago. I might even get a detailer round on sunday to clean the shell for me

think i best update the thread with a list of parts I have bought:
200 block YB engine - low comp, ported/polished head, etc
Just bought a GT3076R turbo and Air Filter from T3 Dan
Now just need injectors and save a bit more for a hart inlet.
Oh and my T5 box rebuilding.

Ade i dunno about beating you to the road as i still have a lot of work to do, loads of parts still to collect and more money to spend.
But at least my figure of 450-500bhp is still on the cards Just need a proper inlet as i dont think a std 2wd will give as good results as a hart inlet.
Not sure if it had a private plate as have never hpi'd it The std plate looks quite good imo

I will have a look, they will be in the loft it was back in the day before digi cams
The doors are White now but I have a feeling if it's TDP the drivers door was a moonstone one I painted and sold him. The fuel cap should be an easy fix, and yep the rubber gasket was on it when he got it and he didn't like it either

The first guy was Phil Sanders lived in pinner he had it years I have just been in the loft and found a few photos of it when he first had it , must be 15 or maybe more years old. Sorry for the Shit quality but took pics of old photos with my phone but I will bring them to Uxbridge, I am sure there is better wedding ones but I haven;t found the album yet
The one at the back is TDP. That is Phil
But he later sold it to a guy over slough way that I had been at school with called Chris Gibbons who worked at Ford, (Diablo may have got it off him) he sold it to buy a new back then rs focus mk 1 so 2003 ish. I still have his brothers number, he lives local but Chris moved to the new forest area a few years back.

Ok mate I had a chat with Chris and he has given a bit more info on it. I asked him if he remembered the front passenger seat having the grey on the pull out leg support and he said yes he thought it did He had a look and the plate is now on a merc so that seems to ring true as it's back on a B. If you want I will give him the B reg on it now see what he finds? He corrected me he sold it and bought a year or so old V reg focus, so around 2000 maybe 2001 before he got the RS focus in 2003. He sold it to a trader and he said it was still the 2.1 with dcoe carbs on it, he said he thinks he may have some pics and he will e mail them to me and I will pass them on to you.

Sweet thread, great project - nothing gets the juices flowing like a 3 dr sierra cossie.. my mates dad had one when we where growing up, its the sole reason im "into cars" its a pitty i will probably never get the chance to own one!

Nealo, i grew up in Cortinas and Sierras and love fords more than any other make.
This one isnt real tho, as its a B reg replica but i dont care what it says on the logbook as long as it looks and goes like the real deal
My intended use was to track this car but i have other committments i need to attend to so this is now on the back burner for a year or two

Nice - as i took the head off that engine last night and the pistons look new as no carbon deposits on them. the head looks like a big valve head too but will get it measured up hopefully over the weekend.
All this is starting to make we wish i was putting all the cossie stuff into this
