quick update.
been busy on the car this week.most of welding done now, would have got it finished last week but ean out of wire at 8.30pm so was screwed for the night.
scuttle panel done,os floor done,os sill done, just front panel to do and small patch in boot.
started to strip parts from engine bay to clean or replace.
removed turbo and manifold,starter,hoses,rad,intercooler,etc etc.
stripped and painted starter, cleand out all samcos, gotta paint block cos its red and i want it black.
managed to get dash refiited after tidying up wiring behind and removing all the old wires where alarms and crap used to be,amazing how much wire was there for no reason .
stripped and painted exhaust manifold and actuator, polished up turbo housing, gonna heat wrap it all too.
cleaned all surface rust from stainless exhaust ready for refit.
will get a few pics up.
next job is to start stripping and undersealing middle of car to match what ive done so far at the back.
painfull job but hoping i only gotta do it once.
full day on it tommorow

Thanks for comments guys. Spent all day Sunday stripping the underside in middle of car. Removed gear stick and linkage then wirebrushed the underside. Pretty mint underneath really. Gonna brave the cold and do few hours in workshop tonight afterwork and get a coat of underseal on.

thanks for your good comments guys.means alot.
i braved the snow again tonight, went to my unit and applied a second coat of underseal.i reckon 1 more coat tomorrow night and it should be sorted underneath.
then gonna refir gear stick and linkage and probably paint fuel lines before refitting.
then gonna strip front wheels, front arb, brakes ,suspension etc and strip and paint it all,and stonechip the front arches.

quick update,
finished undersealing the underside of car yesterday which is a right result as it was a filthy, time consuming job,but soooo glad i did it.its properly protected for years to come now.
refitted gear lever and linkage, which i painted and looks much tidier.
also put all new soundproofing/underfelt in yesterday and managed to refit my carpet after 2 months of no interior lol.
should be able to fit rest of interior next time i at workshop.
also sanded down and resprayed my whole front panel yesterday, looks alot cleaner.
painted bulkhead too and battery rtay etc, painted wiper mechanism silver, should be ok to refit ecus, heater motor and battery in couple\ of days.
next job is to start stripping front arb, suspension, brakes etc for total overhall same as rear.
will post pics when i got some
cheers for looking

bad news is,
my clutch went on my daily drive yesterday.
its a mitsubishi l200 animal.
didnt fancy doin it myself in the snow,so had to put in a garage.
was quoted Ł300,which is better than i thought, but just been told that gearbox shaft is foooked and gonna cost another Ł150 to fix.
so i got a nice bill for Ł450 just before xmas.
no rs goodies for me
