Check a few pages back, it's a waples head for 500 to 650bhp as I want scope for the future without stripping the engines, has a nice pair of cams, they're big but I'm hoping will work well for where I want my peak power for the gearing I'm on. And just generally make a bit of an animal to be a moron in that's all I need lol.

Well, i havnt been updating much as ive been flat out working late nights to get it on the dyno, my aim was last weekend but didnt make it, so this weekend it was! here is the rest of the photos from the build.
oil jets in and bottom end completed bar oil pump.
head on and cambelt on with front pulleys
dizzy blank
new core plugs
mk motorsport drop bracket
sump looking good as new!
coming together
as usual, all new bolts
wrc breather bolted to the block and sealed in. modeen fitted and pipes made
getting tight!
return to sump done
rs500 water rail and the last wrc breather pipe done
turbo oil feed on
mount
front pulley bolts in
this is the last of the pics of the build.
so saturday the engine got loaded onto the dyno and it started first turn, awesome!
we ran it in most of saturday and set about some of the mapping saturday night. we saw some really strong figures and set about moving cam timing to see where the best compromise of torque, power and response using the superflo dyno options which are awesome, run through tests etc.
i sacrifised a little bit of torque to hold the power higher up but the torque is still awesome and the power and the way it holds it is awesome. im so so chuffed, it really is an amazing engine (should be considering the spec lol!)
anyway enough chat, heres the graphs
so when warm up is done its coming off the dyno, few jobs to finish off, then into the car. the pulleys and cam cover will be changed for the new items etc

Cheers boys, yes oil pressure is correct john, 3.8 bar. What makes you say about exhaust cam? The inlet and exhaust are both big, bigger than the normal 500 spec we do

Well it certainly looks the part Jim and produces the power to match
Question Jim regarding boost drop towards the end of the cycle, mine peaked a certain pressure then dropped back towards the end and some on here commented theirs peaked all the way to limit which i know they don't, can you tell me why they drop off is it in the mapping?
Cheers
