The owners I know that have had it done couldnt tell any difference. The only way you will gain something one one of these is aftermarket ecu and maf delete.
we use evolution chips which are extremely good and boost power, torque, throttle reponse and better fuel economy. we have done an m5 and an m sport and both went very well and we proved they make a difference on the rollers. trust me they do work, jon

Sat nav guidance screen After!

I think you will agree a Million times better...
thats a simple mod!
you can also do split screen if you go to the "set" option on the main menu screen.

you can display a map AND directions on the same screen by going to the "set" option on the main menu, and changing to screen option to "split"

this will make the right hand side show the directions and the left handside show the map

yours is a MK3 because its originally an X reg
MK4 came on some 2002 plate and onwards i think

the shark fin on your car is original bmw part.
it was a factory fit item not some cheapo aftermarket job

Well got the gearstick done today and the difference is like night and day.

Got to be the best Ł100 Mod ever. It literally feels like new. A fluid change and the box is going to be perfect, will put some pics up later.

Also spent some time polishing it for the first time and its come up really nice.

A really clean car so im happy!

Right, Yesterdays pictures then, I would advise this mod to anybody and took less than an hour.

Remove Boot

Heres the problem

the difference between the two!

In the Air.

And All done

i also fitted the new cup holders as you can see.

There are a few pipes that need replacing under the bonnet, Does anyone know if you can get silicone hoses for this car?

Ive looked around but cant see any available.

well service done and other that uneven tyre wear on the front and needs rear shoes everything is fine

OTHER THAN DODGY MAF SENSOR

damn bmws!!!

Ł550 genuine
Ł450 non genuine.
Both fitted prices but still dear.

Sytner want Ł290 per sensor and an hours labour fitting.

i can get bosche ones Ł340 the pair but not fitted, Fitting isnt hard but i cant clear codes and reset the sensors.

Ordered poly bushes for front today and am about to order rear shoes.

Thats Ł1100 spent today!

These M5s are pricey. 2k more and its standard sossie rebuild money!

bushes have arrived for the front but i have not had the time to fit them. I have not got the shoes yet but i will do and do both at the same time.

Car is now showing 21mpg so there was definately a maf problem and it seems to run smoother and a bit more lively.

I today booked in with EP to have it remapped with before and after RR printouts so you will all see for yourself what difference they make!

it will also be delimited so watch this space for 180mph+
