A few pics of my Granada Cossie 24v turbo

could always move the turbo'd lump and running gear into the mk2
then drop it 3" on spax progressive springs like me and it will drive without wallowing too ............go on, you know you want to

No mate this is why Dagenham is doing what's it doing today
At its peak the Dagenham plant had 4 million square feet (371600 m˛) of floor space and employed 40,000.[2] On February 20, 2002, full production was discontinued due to overcapacity in Europe and the relative difficulty of upgrading the 60 year old site compared with other European sites such as Almussafes, Valencia, Spain and Cologne.

No mate and I have probably forgot more about all Ford cars than you will ever know lol and I notice you have not put any pic's of your car on so we can have a good laugh go on I dare you
Any how, on a serious note, i would recommend using the entire BOB engine, due to the timing gear being far far superior. I would also look up boost performance.

my bad must be a 330 or a 325 with the twin exhausts and wheels......? either way that will run a faster 1/4 mile time than 15secs.... my 157,000 mile e36 touring automatic runs a healthy 15.2 quarter at the pod, so your daily driver is probably more of a toy than your actual toy if you see what i mean?

Cheers, tis a 330 dude, 231 bhp as std nice and quiet for the daily grind and the fact its a thirsty beast means I try to drive it sensibly during the week as I have enough points. Goes like stink when you want to though and sounds immense!
The Leon has oodles of torque though and can piss all over lots of things.
The RS is destined for the track once the head is back from the engineers fitted, run in and setup again.
Don't run the Leon on the track only Crail drag strip for some fun now and again as its worth too much to me and would hate for it to get damaged. Plus don't want to lower it as there are far too many speed bumps around. Thats why am re-building the Escort RST for track abuse.

Well Rob sorry to inform you its the other way round the BOA has the stronger time gear set up as it has a double duplex timing chain and the BOB has a single one and is the weak link in a BOB engine and yes I know about Boost Performance as it was a toss up between them and Top Boss on who done the conversion and yes I know the car is running slow on the track due to some teething probs its over fueling as this has been set up for 350 bhp and a problem with the engine in that it runs far to hot and it just got far to hot at the pod and started to miss fire hence the slow times it should be running low 13's so this is why I am building the new engine for it and the car will be changed and made to look a lot better any sensible suggestions would be welcome as you say I have a base for a good car as every thing that is fitted to it is easy to remove and all the arigenal bumper mountings are still there and I do have spare bumpers but I do not want to go down the sleeper route seen so many and see to many boring cars every day driving between jobs as I am a fork truck service engineer so it has to be different but not over the top I like the body kit you saw on the one you said looked like a Lotus Carlton but this Ford RS kit is very hard to come by and still holds it price but I do have the same Ford RS kit that is fitted to my mates white car that is on here but it will also need some sort of spoiler on the back but don't now what as the back of the car looks so bland with out one so something to just change the way the back end looks and just for the record I have no wish to argue with any body on here I just want to join a bunch of like minded people who like modified cars and that's all I have to say Cheers Vic

I could swear the BOB had an individual chain going up to each head, where as the BOA has a massive chain that did both.... Had a BOB in peices a few years ago, i'll dig the photo's out for you (if i still have them).
And fair play, although your car isn't my cup of tea you took the abuse pretty well.

So although the BOA may have a Duplex chain, its very very long, the longer a chain is the weaker it will be, the BOB only needs a simplex chain as it has two, so its half the length.... all of this means that if/when a chain breaks only one bank will get a shafting.

Not a K1 but defo looks the part its actually a reference sport that was fitted with the Ltd Edition BTCC Aero Kit in 2006 by the dealer before the K1 existed. SEAT then fitted the same kit to make the Cupra K1 but with a centre exhaust.
Was remapped to 245bhp before having a few more goodies added so easy as fast as a standard cupra but has loads more low down grunt than a cupra does and prefer the way this drives over the Cupra, the seats are more comfy too. Uprated fuel pump and another re-map should see short of 300 bhp.
Got up to 35mpg in the beemer on the motorway but thats at 70 with the Cruise Control on (too many gatsos!), 20 - 25 round town. Get 37mpg max from the SEAT on motorway (again being nice) but normally hoofing it on back roads and getting high teens instead.

I do love the UK and all the gearbox/engine plants do a really good job now but car assembly in the eighties was simply a nightmare in quality terms. Just compare a Dagenham built Sierra with a Genk built one...
Not to forget about Escort vans which were a horrible pile or rusting rubbish...
#141
Well Pete must have been the faulty imported German steel Fords were using at the time as it was cheaper than the British stuff and also a lot of the parts we fitted were manufatured at the Genk plant and ship straight into Fords own dock at Dagenham and by the way we did not built Escort vans at Dagenham they were built at Halewood in Liverpool

seen your car at classic ford show, 1 thing i will say is if thats running 280bhp then you
got some major problems, i'd get fitz to have a good look at it mate.
it seemed like you were changing gear at 3000rpm.
my ST220 runs low 15's with 240bhp so your car should be doing around the same if
not slightly better.
i'm not having a go or anything, just shocked that it is actually fitted with the cossie v6
and turbo'd.
ask fitz about the twin turbo cossie v6 he built for my mate roger's xr4x4 from newport, it was the same spec as the 1 in his blue cossie rep, its currently fitted to a red sapphire, the owner runs the welsh branch of ford sport.

Hi Steve yeah I know mate Fitz had a lot of problems doing the conversion and the engine has had a hot running problem for a long time hence this is why I am now building a new engine for it plus it is not fully mapped yet as it should be running 350 bhp so it has still got to go back to Top Boss for remapping and set up Cheers Vic
#144
Gonna be running a single turbo on my motor soon hopefully.both banks into the ns manifold and straight into a 20 year old rotamaster to4 and then an Su carb, ill be happy with 180 Bhp lol should go ok tho

not been on here much since i signed up so some might say im not in a position to say much i see where your going with wanting to have something different it just looks like you havent sat down and worked out some idea's and got a structure to your modding plans.
i would say go in the opposite direction they are heavy old buses so first thing would be to strip as much weight out of it as possible whilst keeping it quiet inside and and comfy as a daily get the tacky bits off and sell them on egay some young tit will buy them use the money for further setup go for a larger scale 4x4 saph cos bonnet ie get yours vented and louvred make the car look a bit harder.
stick some meaty wheels on it and get some decent suspension stance will be the number one trick to making this look like a big mean fucker i reckon overall winning theme should be almost oem + just make it look hard and less cluttered good luck with it either way.

Right guys as I said earlier up the post changes are on the way so here they are this kit is all genuine Ford Granada RS kit its as rare as hens teeth made some inquiry's with another Granada123 club member to see if one of our ex club member still had this kit a phone call to him yesterday and he said he still had it and a trip down Mottingham in east London this morning so now I have a very rare kit but not only that he had to front bumper covers and to rear bumper covers as this kit fits over the car original bumpers so I hope you like what is going to happen I am hoping to get in on for Ford Fair the will be out on the track but the engine will not be sorted by then so just going to have some fun being able to drive the full grand prix track
