Looking good, like the black insert on the bumper! I've just bought a facelift rear bumper for mine, will probably do the diffuser in carbon.

More updates today 09/12/2010

Today I removed the rear seats, rear boot lighting and in the process of sorting a full length rear carpet in order to make it look tidy.

I also added gloss black wing mirror covers (Big thanks to Big Stu on the STOC 8))

Next time I am off work I am going to fully clean the boot area and add the carpet

Do not see many track prepped ST's.

Planning to do a full on track st next year. Will never see the road only ever the track and got told it wouldn't be any good but determined to prove otherwise. Red/black is the theme as well as I already done one track car that colour and loved it so be rude to not do the focus the same I feel.

Nice job

Have you had a MOT with the decat fitted or do you stick the cat back on? Just wondering as I'm thinking of decatting mine but dont want the hassle of swapping over every mot!

yeh, nice figures
Torque doesnt drop like a stone after 4.5k like most ST's tend to.

How does the ST handle on track with just the lowering springs? Im taking mine next month as a bit of an experiment and just cant help feeling its going to eat the tyres with its heft.

Unless you can find a friendly MOT'r youll need to change it back, but once you swap out the Cat once, its a lot easier doing it again.
I did mine on tuesday and combined with with Tesco99 (made no difference on mine before the decat for some reason) got an extra 22bhp so its well worth it

ST handles on track brilliantly with just the springs on - little bit soft still but alot more responsive.

Tyre wise - I found mine to be ok on tyres when doing a full day on track.

Top project car.I think your mad for having a cool newish ford and making it into a track car. Most people just buy a cheap car then make that into a track car.

Looking good mate!! I've got the same induction kit as you, do you find it gives a really irritating whistling noise when on and off light throttle? Like a brake squealing sound?

Looks good mate. I had the same induction kit on mine...

You should buy the RS ECU cover as it fills the gap at the front of the engine nicely and looks OE

That's what I put on mine, worried about the ecu in that location, especially as the brackets never fitted to hold it securely!

Exactly. I didn't like the way the ECU was twisted and bodged into place with the Dreamscience induction kit

Cheers for the comments people

RS ECU cover should be here soon all being well

The filter will take some working to get fitted the way I want but hopefully will reward the ST with more power/torque

More work will commence tomorrow on the ST if the weather is ok

Autosol to get rid of loose rubbish, then thin layer of autosol and wire wooled. Then one final layer of autosol and with a polishing cloth buff it off
