during dinner time today took advantage of the electricians grinder
and this is how the inlets shaping up so far going to get the steel cut tomorrow got a engineers next door to my work unit so going to ask them if they wouldnt mind cutting my steel so i can fold it
the pipes have been ovaled at the end so that they fit around the holes in the flange once its all cut and folded i will get the welding gear out (or pay someone to do it)

lol yeah we bounce alot of ideas around im building him a boot install at the moment with a hidden 8 inch sub
main reason i put the 1.6 in it was i had a 1.7 puma engined mk4 track car running cbr600 throttle bodies 4-1 mani straight through exhaust system this one
so i thought i would just put a cheap engine in my road car cost me 100 quid for the engine and i fitted it in in an afternoon after i finished building a customers car
most of the parts on the engine i have been getting dirt cheap to free so thought its worth keeping it
i have been thinking about changing the lights on the front to the facelifts for a while but just waiting for a set to come up cheap or free lol
thank you there will be a bit more to come soon i will be building an inlet manifold for the big throttle bodie

well its the start of 2012 and as usual the car is in a more sorry state the radio has decided to die like all 6006 units it won't read cds any more and i think the water pump and the radiator have both said good night
but on the plus side its getting supercharged
decompression plate bought
considering going down the alloy route for the radiator and a nice intercooler
will update more when i have the bits

Um... That isn't going to make much boost. I used to run an M45 on a 2.0 blacktop and maxed out s/c RPM at 7psi with a smaller pulley. I'm now running an M62 with smaller pulley to create 15psi.
The M24 - 390cc per rev
The M45 - 750cc per rev
The M62 - 1000cc per rev.
The good news is the M24 can handle around 17,000 rpm max (although efficiency isn't great up there) so you should be able to see about 4psi with the correct pulley sizing.
It will be a good place for your to get going in the supercharger world though!
Good luck
Matt

Aye looked at going with throttle bodies like my track car then thought everyone's doing that then turbos but it's a bit pointless getting rid of my stainless exhaust and making my own manifold/ down pipe when I have a spare pulley on the crank and a load of space in the bay

It makes for a fun drive. My M45 on a 2.0 blacktop made 7psi and about 185bhp. The good bit was hitting the throttle and it was making 5psi at 2,000rpm!!

Very nice, should be pretty lively with the supercharger bolted on.

Not wanting to break your heart, but you'll need to overspeed the crap out of that charger to get worthwile gains. Try to keep the pipework to a minimum aswell. Otherwise I like what you've done

The pipe work will be around 1 meter total a u bend into the intercooler then a j bend out short straight then a j bend into inlet

Andddddd, will be easy to upgrade the unit to an m45 at a later date....all the pipe work will be the same
