picked up my fuel pump today(thanks jay),also got -10 and -6 fittings from torques,has anyone else used these?there seems to be quite a large gap between the -6 fitting and the pump,i know i can use the standard fitting or cut this one down but just thought id ask.

yeh it should have a copper washer in there jeff to seal it...K

karl i know they should have washers in there mate but in the pics that fitting is screwed right in which would mean id have to use a really thick copper washer to make it seal.

the nuts and bolts are put in a vice and cleaned with a wire wheel,then zinc plated

Can't help regarding the AN6 as i have left the original banjo/pipe jobby on mine but it looks like you will just have to get a correct thickness copper washer Jeff - i'm sure you'll find one - looks like 3 or 4mm

leaving the original banjo in is an option i was looking at them from burtons this morning,mines been cleaned up for zinc plating but mite just buy a new one.

not much of an update until my trailing arm bushes turn up but heres what little work ive done this morning.
bought a 044 pump off (JAY) so thought id trial fit it into the cradle.

Looks a tidy cradle Jeff - how shit are those rubber mounts on the pump side and Ford NLA - does yours move around a little?

Couple of little bit's i was told the pipe went under the cradle and have you fitted a copper washer on the AN10 fitting?

yeah the rubbers are shit mate,i do get movement in the pump,ive bent the craddle to take up some of the slack but still have a little movement.

ill change to route of the fuel pipe,ive taken a look at some photos ive taken and you are right,chris i need new copper washers all round mate there on the to do list.

matt i was just looking through some pics when i noticed your post,thanks for the pics,looks to me the steel caps are missing from your rubber mounts in the first pic mate.

Can you just take a few mm off the fitting so it screws in more?

thank you,yes i could have done that but ive decided to re-use the original link pipe from the pump to filter instead of using braided hose,im waiting on a new non return valve from burtons.

Are they genuine Ford items as they look different to the originals mate - your look like they are sealed - i could be wrong but it doesn't look like you could fit a dust seal like i did

very little happened this month,due to weather,money and a holiday,i have got round to fitting the trailing arms,diff and rear coil overs(pics to follow).
also painted the driveshaft bolts.
cleaned up ready for etch.

yeah mate was a pain in the arse doing it by myself,i gave up and waited till my dad came in from the club,hes been a great help today even though he was half cut.
