well i done bits and pieces today, first job was to replace the front drivers seat, ive had this sitting in my bedroom for years
this is why its being replaced
not the worst seat ive seen,so started taking the seat out and i bet you can all guess what happend next
thats right one bolt snaps in the floor,so thats a job for next week.
next job was to change the steering wheel for a rs four spoke, this was in my escos about ten years ago so the boss needed changed
these two bolts were rounded off so needed some work to remove it
with the boss removed if changed to ring on the back that operates the horn and but it on the car look much better i think

ok guys not added to the thread for a bit but ive done a little bit on the car over the last couple of weeks, mostly just taking bits off and cleaning them up,re-taped the harness under the bonnet re-routed a couple of wires to clean up the bay, also came across this when i pulled the stereo out
.
wires for the stereo had just been wrapped around and not soldered on so these got some heat shrink added.
starter and alternator is off and clened up,going to split the alternator to get it coated
while i was under the car decided to remove the radiator and intercooler, radiator has seen better days so was put in the bin,got a 60mm airtec rad on the way.fans going to be replaced aswell for new items
thats it for now will update soon.

its been a while since ive updated so heres what ive been up to,basicly still taken items off the car and cleaning painting or powder coating, going to try and drop the engine out to get the under bonnet painted soon, heres some pics.
60mm rad, intercooler and turbo cooler now satin black.
also had the rocker cover powder coated and im very happy the way its turned out.
from this:
to this:
got the car up on axel stands last weekend, its the first time since buying it back in april to have a good look under it,and so far im very happy with the condition of it.
this is the only part that i could see that need attention, nothing major though
and the reason for painting under the bonnet.
thats it for now ill show you more later.

ok guys its been a nice day today so spent most of it working on the car,its pretty much ready to drop the engine and box out, just got to disconnect the fuel lines and thats it.
going to get it ready to paint the bay, looks like im going to have to replace the front wings and slam panel as these are the only places that are showing signs of rusting, heres some pics of work done last week first.
trial fitted the strut brace and drill the holes.
all the loom is disconnected now,the front coilovers, tca's,and steering rack are all off, ready to be cleaned up.
some stuff been powder coated.
and this is the reason for changing the wings and slam panel.
more updates soon

yes mate its kept outside, bought a caravan cover for it to try and fend off the british weather.
ive not updated this for a while so i guess ill bring you up to date.
took the engine out and put it on a stand, the plan was just to replace all of the seals, replace the manifold studs, new sensors and replace the thermostat.
one empty bay.
collected some parts from the powder coaters.
gave the block and head a coat of vht paint.
manifold studs replaced.
as it stands the engine is pretty much ready to go,me brother said i can use his garage once hes cleared it out to do the underside,a job im really not looking forward to.
