moonstone 3dr small update
yes mate went and got petrol and when i came out it started then it was fine and then stopped and strted it again later and was ok its ideling at 2k though
it goes off when you turn the engine off and put key in ignition it just came on when i was driving a while~!

yes mate theres 3 grades of mop and compound in that kit,start with the most course and work your way through to the finishing mop,takes a fair bit of time but the results are worth it.

todays work guys,as its dried out a bit i thought id start to remove the fuel tank and pump.anyone whos removed a fuel tank off a 25 year old ford will know what a bastard of a job it is,as you can guess every bolt had to be cut off.tank has some surface rust,ill give it a clean up an see what it looks like.tell me what you think.

cleaned up most of the tank today,a big thank you to whoever undersealed the tank many moons ago,this is a job i cant wait to get finished the top is now finished,will try and get the bottom done tommorrow.crappy fone pics below.


itll be good as new mate lol im itching to get mine back now like want to strat rubbing it down underneath and tidying it up like you said hes got the emmisions down to 3 % now!

you can adjust that screw to sort the mixture its just if it was mapped like that i would have thought there was another problem,maybe the water temp sensor gone down making it run on "choke" all the time,which would account for the rich mixture

not much really mate was going to wait till i had more to show you.just got the underside of the tank finished today,once the underseal was off the tank is like brand new underneath,mite even get it chromed instead

todays work,fuel tank is finished for now,one side was painted with rust cure and the other side has a light coat of primer,this is just until i get around to getting my jic fittings welded on and then powder coated.also removed the the abs block,this is now taped up ready for painting tommorrow,a couple of pics for today.


brackets a bit dirty but ill sort that out soon.

todays very small update,abs block parts primed and two parts painted,main section will be painted tommorrow as the original brass-gold colour.
