its plated over and original fuse box/wiper asy back in place .your using the s1 loom as it was and running the yb loom independently .

whats to asky cutch ,

sierra and escort heat boxes in bay are the same ,

heater matrix will fit , as designed underneath



ohh and the sierra cable linkage setup used in the sierra on the controls is the exact same as in your s1 dash buddy ,

quality! your a star mate. Looks good, drivers side eh, whats your next move? are you going to go the whole way round the top side ie sills, arches, rear panel? or you got other plans?

 

oh i meant to ask, you know the gap between the front wings and the scuttle panel? Can we seal that up? weld???

 

next stage is the rear floor that will be cut out and replaced with the sierra one, after that the rear panel can be fitted and all closing plates etc can be finished ,once thats done primer and on to paint ,be ready in no time lol

what part you on about wing to scuttle ? send me a pic and explain

Sierra rear floor? we still going for the custom aly fuel tank under the boot?

I found a pic and put a nice weee circle on the bit i meant but the connections that crap here i cant get it onto photobucket! Right, you know the scuttle panel where the wipers come out of? If you go to either end it touches the tops of the wings, theres usualy a rubber peice squashed into the gap there? Well mines missing, can we weld up that wee gap or is there a better way of doing it?

 

I wouldnt weld that gap up will be able get rubber

Only though about welding cos it leaked when i had it 13 yrs ago! with the rubber in it.....

 

you will probably find it was leaking bellow that part in the door pillar area ,thats now solid so no leaks ,if i was to weld it it would crack as its a stress point and needs to flex hence the rubber on factory cars

right got a problem......

the guy that was building the car obviously got fired after taking nearly a year to do fuck all, well i have paid him £2000 500 of which is panels, I know he has put in about 1500 worth of work but he also took 5 times as long as he said he would and didnt complete the job or even get halfway!!! I want my money back, am i being a dick when I ask for it back? as far as i am concerned the 4k quote for building and painting was for a completed car, not something to work out at different stages. I was very lucky that i had Aly to take on the project, not alot of people will do that for the obvious reasons. Well when i open up the computer the same guy thats bitching about having no money all the time has a new fucking bike sitting in the drive. Not fucking happy, wasted my time and is playing with my fav toy.
