10 grand mate, tried to sort it out ages ago for all the guys with series 1's but its mental money and i doubt there would be many people willing to actually stick down some cash to get the casts made.
cheers nick, is that the same as a cossy?? ie et35.

Started to strip the engine,
Got the inlet off,
Thermostat housing,
All the pulleys looking pretty sad, wont be long till its all nice again.
Exhaust and turbo off,
Rocker cover off to get powder coated, realised after that i couldnt get that done before i left so put it back on!
Most of it off, couldnt get the bottom pullet off without a puller so finish it tomorrow and start cleaning!
Went over to Billys to have a looksie,
He had the heater box in to check it out,
and the two bin bags of loom ready to put in to check the fuse box fits ok,
And the angle on the fuse box that i never knew was there so it will fit in nice and straight on the bulkhead.
He had the passenger sill off and found some more rot that he needs to deal with!
I am going back over tomorrow to measure the boot floor so i can get my fuel cell made and sent to billy while i#m away.
enjoy

Today billy had a few things in the car, wipers, fuse box steering column and the escort heater box instead of the sierra one, make more sense to use the escort one as all the plumbing will fir the dash ok!
Going to have to move the fuse box down a touch for the wiper arms, everything lokked ok for the bonnet hinges etc but the wiper arms will fowl if the fuse box cover is on, need to find the fuse box cover!!
Going to cut out a small section directly below and lower the whole lot a couple of centimeters.

Today the escort steering column was mocked up to the seirra steering rack,
looks like its going to be easier than i though, everything nearly lines up,
Fuse box is getting moved into its own wee cubby hole, there wasnt enough room with the cover on the fuse box and the wiper mechanism moving.
Then he had the wiper motor bracket up to see how it fits........will need moved slightly but not too much.
And the last view I had of it before i go for weeks again!! Hopefully get alot of it done while i am away, ordered my custom fuel tank today and it will be getting shipped to billy for fitting. Hopefully he will keep me updated and i will be able to pass on the progress to you lot.

Yeah totally, he's good at what he does too, daft little things i says ach dont worry about that and hes telling me that he's got to cut it out and start again or replace it. Really looking forward to getting home to see the finished product and i havent even left yet!!

Fuse box finished;
And the dash in to make sure everything fits!
sorry for the quality but its billys phone, he should have finished tidying up all the front end, grinding everything down and smoothing out. Hopefully get some more pics tonight, he's going onto the floor pan and cut some rot out next.

Oh i do have something to feast your eyes on....my nice new wheels......and i mean NEW!! Well pleased with them, untouched, unmarked spotless wheels.
Tucked away in their hidey hole besdie my new dash until the cars ready.
While i had the oportunity i got the guys down to help me lift the engine off the stand and rotate the head on it to the proper position (didnt have the right bolts at the time)
Bloody dog!
Now i can get the sump off it in the morning as the head of the stand was attached to it and i coudnt do a thing to it!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
The amount of work going into this build is insane, how does someone price a job like this? Wouldnt like to even have a guess at how many hours would be in building that.
