I could never be pissed messing about with that. I doubt I'd want any of my old cars back, let alone one that's fucked.
Best of luck and I hope you see it through. |

Its not that bad with some time and cash thrown at it - jobs a good 'un, if I had the chance to get my old XR3i back which was in similar condition I'd sort it.
Looking forward to the progress mate, ignore the 'why not buy a minter to start with' shite |

Turned round and went and got my leathers.... Attachment 130092 Attachment 130093 Brought the bike home and had some fun on the way, trying not to blow it up again!! Attachment 130094 Went and collected the van and trailer, guy at the van rental place took his fkn time and was a dick but we got there in the end. Attachment 130095 Attachment 130096 Most of the stuff was ready in the car but still had to go and get the interior at calums house. Attachment 130097 Had a look around before we pushed it out. Attachment 130098 Attachment 130099 Pushed it out onto the street and onto the trailer. Attachment 130100 Attachment 130101 Attachment 130102 Attachment 130103 Attachment 130104 Attachment 130105 Attachment 130106 Attachment 130107 Attachment 130108 Took the car back to calums house to pick up the seats, was very nervous about it bouncing about on the back of that old trailer! Attachment 130120 Attachment 130121 Attachment 130122 All in all a good day, well pleased, couldnt care less about the condition its in, its my first car and i have it back, its going to get fixed properly and i cant wait to get it onto the road, most likely to have a 400 bhp 4x4 cossy stuck into it since most of it needs to be cut apart anyway.... cant wait! |

beef |
nice one mate must be good getting some old memories back
|
should be a nice project mate with a good bit of history for ya too sod what people say about not being able to do it and its too far gone ive seen and fixed much worse myself like you say it is only metal afterall and whats a bit of welding thats how they were made anyway by welding bits of steel together lol!
ill be watching this one:top: |
You'll be glad its finally home then m8.
|
Totally over the moon, the wifes no too happy but i think she knows fine well that there wasnt going to be any other decision than bringing it home, its the car that i always wanted back and when i had it all those years ago i talked to someone down south, (think it was roger motorsport?) about putting the cossy in. Being 17-18 i didnt have the money to do it but now i might just be able to swing it....
was sitting in the seats last night making brum brum noises!! :top: |
