Time for an update. I have had it mapped today and my god its quick! Not sure what the power is, but its running about 27psi boost and the turbo spools up really nicely! Im going to book it in for a power run at a rolling ASAP!
So its time to place your bets!!
Would like to thank Jano at Oddkidds for putting up with me today as I was being a fussy bugger!

Spec is:
GT3071r turbo
SIemens 83 injectors
Ported head
BD14 inlet cam, std exhaust
6 Long studs
Wossner forged pistons
Swedish inlet (not a proper one though)
L8 ecu
4 Layer head gasket
Double valve springs
Shot peened con rods
ACL bearings
I think thats most of it, off the top of my head anyway!

Just had a power run done and Im happy with the result. The mapping can be improved around 3000-4000rpm when things start happening so I will get that looked at, but heres the graph for now.
Good power for 1.8 bar apparently

just started reading this thread and please please dont go to mtech for your mapping although i am a big fan of megasquirt for its simplicity and easy of use and the ability to add and change anything you want to but mtech automotive are pretty usless from what i have seen of them, they couldnt even figure out the fuel rail on an st170 lol (see marsh on focus forums) and when i bought my megasquirt of them supposedly pre built they didnt even solder the connector to the board!
ok rant over and theres nothing wrong with wanting everything to be as good as it can be keep it up mate cracking car

dont panic northenhunk, the mtech idea went out the window months ago , I've gone for the 4x4 cosworth ecu. However megasquirt has always appealed to me on a number of occasions but Ive never bitten the bullet and tried it.

Not really any updates to be honest, done about 2000miles and still going good. Its going to be at the enhanced performance RR day on sat.

Thought I would give this thread a quick update! Since I last posted, I have had the suspension rebuilt by Lead and a fresh MOT with no advisories. The tester even said its alot better than most of the much newer cars they MOT
The engine is still running really well, especially in these cold conditions, it pulls like a fooking train! It also featured in this month perfomance ford mag at the EP rolling road day!
Gave the old girl a wash...Also playing with the camera on my new phone

Just read this thread with great interest. I am going for a rebuild on mine also and hope to have it up and running in the next 12-18 months. Should be similar power also. Well done Mike, superb build and results
