Not much done today, just little bits and bobs to get out the way
Lots of cleaning, which there are no pictures of. Cleaned up the engine mounts, they need some paint though.
Put the gearbox mount in.
Cant remember what way round the mount had to go though, so might have to turn it 180 degrees when I line up the gearbox etc.
Gave the floor another coat of paint, quite happy with it now.
Then started putting these bits in
Some are broken and I've lost some so need to get hold of more
Also tried out the new wheel. Mental dish!
Going to take some getting used to!
Also fitted the door and boot seals, and the rear windows.
Painted the bottom part in the engine bay black as there was over spray from when painting the bay.

engine went on the stand and began stripping it down
Crank is being sent away to get some work done to it.

Not going for FRP's. Just selling the brakes as I need to buy more important things. Brembo's will be purchased again in the future, but slightly different ones.
Took the head apart today
this is how my bench looks at the moment. Some cool items
then cleaned up the block
Im hoping to get the block rebuilt by Christmas, or just after.

J&K Performance sent me a manual steering linkage
And I got my adjustable wishbones through from CompBrake.
Crank has also been sent away to get machining work done. Get it back in a month or so.

Wishbones are in
The adjustment is done here
Needed some very slight adjustment to the inserts to fit but went in fine.
Also have some new bolls for the gearbox mount.
Getting some driveshafts sunday so the car can be floored again!

Hi Mate. What is the difference between the assisted steering column and the manual column?
I'm in the process of fitting PAS to my sisters car and was wondering if I'm going to need to change the lower part of the column.

The coupling which connect the rack to the column is different. I have a PAS one from a Fiesta if you want it.

Quick update, been a long time coming.
Crank was sent away to get Lightened, balanced and shotpeened.
From this:
To this:
I've also decided to get the crank keywayed to cope with sharp down shifts and hitting rev limiters constantly.
Also got some new purchases through!
My bike bodies, complete with TPS and injectors
My cosworth pistons
and my Farndon Rods
so good to finally get some progress!
