Default sierra saph central locking problem

Hi all, i have just bought a 4x4 saph to tinker with. I am having major problems getting the central locking to work!!! Does anybody have any ideas which fuse or relay it could be cuz ive run out of ideas.
Any help would be welcomed........Cheers Trig

i will be keeping a eye on this as i am having problems with most of my electrics on day they work another they dont

i got the car half way through the restoration so very hard to find all the faults,...lol

check the fuses/relays etc...

take the door cards off, check wireing for brakes/damage etc

then if its none of them check the central locking motor.

also does the car have an alarm ?

i have big problems with the cooling fans aswell, and the list goes on!!!!

thx for the reply paul, im guessing that it may be a fuse as there is no sound of the motor at all.....

yeah maybe. ive actually got the same problem. thought i sorted it but its started its silly games again lol

...also my indicators have stopped working ??? hazards still work. i have changed the fuse... any ideas anyone ? ?

i had the same thing paul....it turned out a break in the loom, luckily it was near to the light cluster so stripped it and re-wired it and now works fine (fingers crossed)....

oh ok maybe i'll have a look at the loom... i think there is a key, of the fuses on the underside of the fuse box lid ? ? there is on mine.
