8 months later and i only just noticed this!
thanks very much. Just trying to figure out if I can squeeze myself into one at 6'3" and 15 stone! If I can, then I'm planning on getting going on one later this year...

It's from ebay Jeff, it's nitrile lined not teflon, I went with the nitrile as I thought it would be easier to work with.
Loosely fitted some parts today, here's how the fuel hoses and filter fit between the regulator and rail.
and with the inlet in place
Cut to length and then made up the hoses, here's the Bosch 044 pump outlet
Return hose to tank, it fits a lot better when routed and fastened down correctly
and finally the feed/return hoses connected to the fuel pressure regulator.
I'll get round to fastening the hoses securely to the car tomorrow.

No updates today as I couldn't drag myself away from the PS3 but I did manage to open the front door to take a parcel from the posty.
One 13 row oil cooler
Better late than never! Well if you do go for it please do a build thread
Cheers
Yeah it was... you clever git!

I marked out and then cut the top panel for the transmission tunnel. Once rested in position the edge trim pieces were laid on top and then drilled to accept rivots.
The top panel and the edging strips will be black by the time the car is finished, so it blends in with the dash.
At the moment I'm not sure wether or not to use small rivots like the ones in the photos or use rivots with larger heads.
The pedals were fitted along with the clutch cable, will fit the accelereator cable tomorrow.
Work was interrupted when one of the neighbours pets, a.k.a. garage kitty, decided to pop in for a mooch around.
I eventually got round to cutting the bulkhead panel to accomodate the steering column
The silver section at the top of the steering column has now been painted black, which blends in with the dash a lot better. Heres how the passenger compartment is looking... starting to take shape nicely now

Yesterday I cut the holes in the transmission tunnel upper panel for the handbrake and gear change levers. The trim edging was then marked out and drilled so it could be fitted to the inside edge of the outer sides of the cockpit.
Once all that was done I gave the parts a lick of etch primer
The intercooler pipework needed to be altered again, for the last time this time (hopefully) so I set about cutting the old pipes off and prepping the new ones
This morning I have been to see a local lad to have the intercooler pipes TIG welded onto the intercooler, while he was busy I got an extra 10mm pipe welded to the hot side of the radiator, this pipe is for the turbo cooling water water return.
A couple of parcels have been delivered too
One set of oil cooler fittings and push fit hose
A custom made propshaft to suit bike engine at the front and Freelander rear differential.
a gear linkage kit
One piece of the linkage kit wasn't painted, so I done that
and finally, a 300mm alcantara steering wheel

Done a little bit today...
Fitted the radiator fan
One completed exhaust support rod, will fit it tomorrow
Loosely fitted the prop
Remote oil filter mount and oil cooler sandwich plate secured to the chassis
Steering wheel drilled and loosely fitted to the quick release boss to get a photo taken, need to get hold of three 5/16" UNC bolts to properly secure it to the boss.

Do it Rob, it's great fun... at times
I painted the panels black this morning, but they look grey in the photo, ready to be lacquered tomorrow
I also made up a plate to mount to the top of the oil cooler, which was then welded to the intercooler, finally the intercooler was given a flash of black paint to make it more discreet.
I started making up the oil cooler hoses using Aeroquip fittings and socketless hose, but gave up and came indoors after the first one, what a bastard they are to push on to be continued...

Intercooler/oil cooler/radiator fitted to the car this morning, you can see the 10" rad fan is the biggest I was going to squeeze behind the radiotor.
With the nose cone fitted, the intercooler is now looking very discreet
Exhaust support fitted
I then set about fitting the finished trim strips to the outside edges of the passenger compartment
I had to nip out to buy some more rivots this afternoon, I got sidetracked and time passed by, when I returned home I couldnt be bothered to do much else, so I quickly trial fitted the rest of the panels.
Really happy with the way it's starting to look

No updates (photos) really, I've been fettling the gear linkage arrangement, which is now done but is cobbled together in places, the standard Mac Worx linkages were intended for 2006 onwards engine setup and consequently fell short and fouled my propshafts centre mount, i'll get some pictures once I've redone it to an acceptable standard.
I've fitted the handbrake cables, but I'm still in the process of adjusting them to give a good bite when the handbrake is applied, unfortunately the Wilwood rear calipers aren't renowned for their superb handbrake ability.
I've been busy helping a mate with an exhaust on his Mac Type 9R build, he's using a CBR1000RR (Fireblade) engine
if anyones interested he has a build thread, here's the link
http://www.gtiroc.com/forums/showthr.........../page2
we took the standard exhaust manifold
butchered it and came up with this
Silencer and link pipework fabricated
Fitted it looks like this
[imghttp://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c57/paulb81/Mac%20Build/IMG_1596Large.jpg[/img]
and a 3" slash cut exit on the passenger side
It's all wrapped and painted/sealed now, awaiting the final fitment. He'll be updating his thread tonight/tomorrow night I reckon.

Right then... here goes the latest update
Bought a length of aluminium pipe and silicon hose to sort the boost pipework out
Boost pipework cut and mocked up, looks like this
Aeroquip hoses made up and fitted between the engine and remote oil filter, they still need to be tidied up and secured
Oil cooler hoses cable tied roughly where they will sit, couldnt make off the oil cooler hoses fully because I bought 45 degree fittings for the oil cooler end of the hoses and they actually need to be 90 degrees, doh!
Secured the prop adapter to the engine then bolted the propshaft to it. The coolant hose on the left of the prop needs to be secured out of the way as it fouls the prop where it is currently sitting.
Here's an aerial photo of the car, showing just why they are so light and quick

Bloody hope so Glenn
Gear linkage fitted now
The extre holes are where i played with other settings, to get the gear lever feel and movement the way I wanted it. I didn't bother cutting the arms to length just yet as I may want to adjust the feel/travel once the car is on the road and I drive it.
