Thanks, will do![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Cheers... you and me both!![Content](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/content.gif)
Ah right, cool, not far away at all.
You get a sprocket adaptor which fits to the output from the ZX10r gearbox, this allows you to bolt on the front half of a custom propshaft, then the rear of the propshaft just bolts to the input flange on the rear diff.

Well after ages of not doing much, I've been in the garage making progress today...
The beginning of the bulkhead/pedal cover panel

The steering column goes through the bulkhead/pedal cover panel, so I made this wedge to cover the steering column in instead of it being exposed, not sure if I'm going to use it or redesign and remake it though.

Nice one just read this whole thread from the start, looks like a fun project with some room to put your own twist on things.
Re the steering shaft cover... I'd go for something more rounded rather than triangular. Just form a piece of alu sheet around some thing about the right size then cut it down to fit the panel. If you see what I mean?
Keep up the good work.

Yeah it should be a frisky little thing alright, even on the low boost setting it'll be 500bhp per tonne ![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)

You could build a Mac Type ZR (car engined) or a Mac Type 9R (bike engined but diff chassis to the Worx) for around Ł1500 less.
Cheers... I can't f'kin wait to have it on the road

Lowered the car down from the work horses onto axle stands to make it easier to fit the engine
Here's some shots of the engine int he car, it's not mounted in its final position because the engine cradle didnt fit
so tomorrow i'm going to re-engineer one to suit ![](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/roi.gif)

As the eagle eyed people amongst you may have already noticed, the inlet manifold has been rotated, this is to reduce the height of the top of the inlet manifold and allow the bonnet to be fitted.

Looking good! Is the engine roughly in where's it's going to end up? You could just run the exhaust and screamer straight across and out the driver's side just behind the front suspension, proper loud!

With regards ot the exhaust, unfortunately it's going to need a decent sized catalytic converter and silencer to get it through the IVA test before it'll be allowed on the road.
![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)
The IVA test is basically an in depth MOT style test, last about 3 hours and every detail on the car is checked, i'll be bricking it when it gets to that stage!!

Began work today on the new gearbox cradle, due to the one that came with the car being for a later zx10r engine and the mounts not being quite the same on the engine I have bought ![Wall](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/wall.gif)
This is the cradle (mk1) fitted to the car, still not quite finished as it requires another engine mount welding to it to fit with the upper gearbox mounting point.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0903/Red16/Mac%20Worx%20RR%20Build/IMG_0418Medium.jpg)
I'll be making another cradle (mk2) which will utilise the original rubber mounts to minimise vibration transferred to the chassis from the engine.
But for now this one will do until I modify the chassis engine mount, which is not in the correct place for this engine
Not a lot in it, so it should be a relatively easy alteration ![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

At the close of play today, the engine is sitting nicely in the chassis and the sump is level and not too low.

The bonnet now just fits on over the top of the inlet manifold, I could lower the engine down a little bit further to gain a bit of extra clearance but I don't like the idea of the sump being any lower than it currently is, as it it sitting just about level with the base of the chassis.

The gt3071 turbo is also quite snug up against the chassis on the passenger side

But there is still clearance between the turbo and chassis bracing, which I'm happy about as I don't want the turbo to be on show really, be nice to keep the car quite discreet![](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/angel.gif)

The engine cradle (mk2) is progressing slowly, here's how it's looking at the moment.

Still need to weld in some spacers, to stop the cradle bending when the engine mount bolts are torque'd up.

Looking good, thats some thing worth spending the extra time over to get it spot on and also that it makes it easy to remove and refit the engine in the future.
What bullet type cameras you mean, like the F1 car ones?

The engine has now been removed allowing me to get into the engine bay to properly weld the lower engine mount on the chassis, it's only tack welded in position at the moment. While the engine is out i'll weld the underside of the central engine mount bar onto the engine cradle.
Also have wheel nuts and a brake pedal saddle, so I can fit the pedals and when I have the brake hoses made up I can fit the brakes, bleed them, then fit wheels and have a rolling chassis.![Top](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/smile011.gif)
Cheers
Hoping to have it all finished, tested, registered and on the road for May next year
