Its not a dig, its general concerns about safety that's seems to be taken out of context, that's it. When you need to fit spacers to a build that shouldn't need them, then there are problems. Look at the last 2 pages to clarify

iv had dave round today and we now no why my prop dose not fit my motor is 25mm more to the front of the car so that made me put the floor in to mach it and then you have about 10/15mm movment for the rear bearing holder which when there you have these sizes on the shell you get 30/35mm and gess wot thats why my spacer at the mo is 35mm thick for the MO . And im not getting into this argument any more as iv had it for one day . I was going to do a update on wot iv done but i just can not be bothered .... THANKS BEEFY and MK MOTORSPORT for wot you have had to say

I don't think anyone is having a go at you Ian, I genuinely think everyone wants you to succeed with the project, that's the only reason I mentioned driveshaft angles anyway

Cool, if you're going to end up with decent angles then thats fine, it wouldn't be the same case on a lowered Escos... thats why I asked. Why didn't you ask about struts as I have a pair of 4x4 Leda coil overs you could have used for lining up purposes.

What a knobbish thing to say, stop being such a diluded little brat and realise I wasn't criticising for the hell of it, I was genuinely worried about it being a death trap and for your safety; all you can do is be negative with any remark I've given. FYI Beefy and Martin have both clarified exactly what I've said above, but you seem to be ignoring that.... So carry on being a dick if that helps the cause

your doing a great job so far ian & as you, dingla, whizzisatt & my self know it is a learning curve that is full of trial & error .fook knows i cut my rear top mounts off three times until i was finally happy with them ,its the way you solve the problems that sort out the men from the boys .And you sir are doing a bloody good job ,if other people are concerned they do not have to go banging on about it ,once is enough .

depends on alot of factors, i stripped a full cosworth and a focus, so i have everything in my garage.
After my wife crashed my cossie i reshelled it and gave it to her, so i am no stranger to projects lol

But i know what you mean, it is very hard to keep motivated but this is what we are all on passionford for

RIGHT lets put all this to bed all im trying to show is the hole story of the ups and downs in bilding this car . im try to show it all and trust me not every one dose this i no first hand trust me

1. prop spacer

its there at the mo to make it all fit and as iv said im not 100% HAPPY about it that why iv put the name of the place up how will more than likey be reworking the prop this mod is needed as i did not having a size for were the motor sat which i were era has come from . and i all ways fort the prop might need to be moded

2. spacers for the suspension

as said iv got a cheap set of 2wd coil over shocks which will be here this week whish will help me in getting it all mocked up . and im not the first lad on here to do it as can be seen in a photo one page back

3. spacers in other places

if we are on about the spacers under the front pushing the front beam down im not the first to do it ( dingla ) has them ( rwd lynch ) has them . you have a look and you can see them

4. chop up the turrets

its a mod i did not wont to do thats why i made eptopic top monts but it dose not move then enough so iv had to cut them like all the uver focus cosworths out there

5. I'd be worried that its not going to be a safe drive

if i fort somthing i was doing would not be safe i would not be doing it . im only doing and showing wot uvers have done befor me

SO CAN WE PLEASE PUT THIS BEHIND US NOW AS I DONT NEED THIS .

if not i will have this hole thread deleted

Iv had my 2wd AVO coilover front shocks come and there better than i fort as you can see it the photo standerd 2wd are smaller in the mane body well it work out there about 46mm and the AVO outer body is about 52 mm and are made smaller by AVO on the very end to fit into a 2wd hub so im more that happy to use these shock on the car . iv all so been on the phone to the place about the prop and they are more them happy to rework the rear prop for me they have told me that they will be putting a hole new tube in and not just cutting it and they all so need all of the props off the car as they will balens the hole lot when they have done it and off the top of his head its going to be about Ł60 and as im off work today i will be going over to see them with it all
