Quick update: few parts turned up in the last few days....would be nice to have a day off work to get on the car!
New genuine ford RS rear quarter:
Inner rear arch:
Oil feed pipe for the turbo:
And i also bought some Koni adjustables from ebay which the paint was knackered on, so i had them shotblasted and powdercoated and they came back all nice and shiney Thanks to my mate Jimmer who done them for nothing another Great mate
Just waiting on the new rear panel to arrive which should be monday, but i cant get the drivers side rear wing till 2 weeks when it arrives at the company so will be crackin on next weekend

They work fine after being podercoated and shotblasted, as they werent heated up but let to go off on their own accord for that reason cheers statey

Mate powder doesnt go off on its own, well the stuff we use at work doesnt. I'm pretty sure that all powder needs baking at 200 c

Erm well the bloke said something about not letting it get too hot due to the grease etc etc, but like said they work fine and the paint is dry etc etc

Just a quick one had a few hours spare today.......
New back panel fitted
Inner petrol cap repaired:
New Rear quarter Trial fitted just needs to be lined up and we will be in business :

Passengerside front inner arch sorted out and stonechipped:

looks good my friend ... stick at it .. re shelling as folk have said may have been easier option but sometimes easier isnt the way forward. You'll have a better sense of acheivement when its all done mate rather than a " simple " re shell !!

Iv just got a 1990 escort planning on doin a rs conversion thought that was a big job and looking at them pics I'm glad the shell isn't that bad stick at it mate be well worth the effort

Tyres removed and wheels off to be shotblasted before having a couple of kerb marks repaired and then painted Anthracite

well i just bought a t3 and -31 actuator of a mate and there is no play at all
only thing that is missing are the oil and water feed metal pipes so if anyone has any pm me, or i will be of to ford AGAIN lol

well cars pretty much ready for paint now:
Starting to look like a car again now
Even sorted the rear axle, suspension and brakes, and fitted the new handbrake cables, shoes, cylinders, and wheel bearings
