Conors series 2 Update 28th december
Hello.
So i got me escort a little while back as my second car (first ford) , was running but not very well no boost lots of black smoke and weird noises here and there.
The car was kept in a dry garage for a few years very rarely driven, had plenty of history so after talking to the owner who's a friend of mine we made a deal and i had her a few days later for a reasonable price, Of course i was told the was 200bhp and wasn't boosting due to a simple air leak but that never seems to be the case and it certainly wasn't different with this car. ha ha
So Heres a few pics when i first got it. ( out side a friends house )
After realizing that the car wasn't boosting due to just a simple air leak i had to inspect the car further the problem became clear ......
The amount of play in the turbo was unreal and there was a major oil leak, the hunt for a new turbo begins
Well the new turbo arrived and i started to take the car apart and fit it
Well a few hours later and the turbo was fitted yay. Took her for a test drive and still no boost :O really wasn't sure what to do next .
So i started a thread about my problems on here and i received a pm from muz saying that he lived local and he would pop round and have a quick look, what a legend muzzzer turned out to be he told me loads of things i didn't know about the car and said to pop up to his on Sunday so he could have a look at my boosting problems
I took the car up to muzs and with in a few mins we realized that it was just the actuator that wasn't set up so he wound it out a a couple of turns and told me to take the car for a spin up the road, Omg the smile on my face was massive when the car came on boost for the first time woop woop. cheers muzzzz
nice pic of her
I had plenty of history with the car but had no idea of when it was last tuned and set up so i gave jano a ring and arranged a day for me and muz to pop up and pay him a visit
Well i got a new rocker cover, spark plugs, exhaust mounts and oil in her ready to go to janos and a few days later we hit the road and headed up to Essex.
Arrived at janos around 11 am he got straight to work.
The fueling was out 2 and a half percent, inlet manifold gaskets had gone few other bits and bobs. the car runs amazing now its soo smooth on boost and just feels alot more responsive. very very happy bunny.
Well i think Ive caught up on just about everything Ive made a nice big list of things that i want to get for the car but the next thing is the cosworth management
THE LIST:
Gear box mounts
Actuator
Flocked dash
Charge carrier bolts
90 spec bumper
Bonnet
Cssworth wheels
Hose kit
Intercooler
Cam kit
Breather system
Cosworth management
Rear disc conversion
Front lowering springs.
I will update as i go along but I'm not sure how often thats gunna be thanks conor.

Well its been a long while but the cars a little different to say the least.
To cut a long story short. the car looks like this.
Running
cossie P8, antilag, braided loom, pectel board, coil pack
konis
cossie rims
Baileys breather
samcos
grs cooler
kenlow
s1 box
bla bla bla bla
Because insurance has gone up so much i cant get insured on the car for a couple of years but this wont effect the progress on the car. i am MORE that happy to wait till i can insure it. luckily my old mans a saint and is going to drive it it any shows i want it to be at.
Anyway over the last year that i have owned this car i have fallen in love with it and i really want it to be one of the best about and hopefully have a mag feature. so its have a bare metal respray with added extras frozen white course.
Over the past 3 days,
day one.
some of the new panels, getting as many get ford ones as poss but these days it ain't easy.
the cars work area.
interior out
engine parts out.
DAY 2
engine out
Took the dash out Today and removed the alarm as well
dash out
alarm was a bitch.
