cheers lads,

no hasnt been dyno'd since rebuild.

its runnin diff ex cam, for less lag and more torque, and 8.0:1 instead of 8.6:1 c/r

so where made 505bhp and 447lb/ft at 31psi peak, 26 psi held,

should be 490bhp and 460 lb/ft at 30 psi hit and held.

done my first trackday yesterday in my fiecos. at Lydden hill (kent)

and found out how bad it handles.

unstable under brakin into corners, huge understeer on slite power, but good on full power out of corners.

i was runnin avo coilovers, with 300lb front springs. ? lb rears.

nankang 215/40/17's, on 22-32psi cold pressures

so i need to stiffen it up abit, and get some proper tyres.

went to redline rumble at santa pod yesterday.

steve n managed to get renton (redline mag) to put me into god of the pod comp. done two rubbish runs, and got knocked out by rkd tunin skyline in the quarter finals, with his 10.4 run.

I ran on full boost(30psi), but heat soak caused mega power loss, as didnt feel no faster than on 20psi on road, so turned boost down slightly, but need to sort positioning of charge temp sensor.

also i had troubles with launchin it, nothin to do with car just me.

even still managed two 11.1@ 123 on 27psi.

thanks to my bro and mates for help on day, steve n, redline mag.

was abit pissed not gettin into 10's, but still improvements to be made.

i think i would be put into cossie class on top speed run, its geared to do 183mph at redline in top gear.

i've seen 180+ on a snooper and and 179mph on a road angle, both near top revs wen we where mappin it.

move act ecu sensor into boost pipe, to help with heat soak
a new sec moniter goin in this week
a line lock, and brake bia's also needs fittin.

also i'm off to totb qualifiers on this tuesday 28/6/05, and hopefully dip into the tens, and hit over 180mph.

cheers

i've done it quite a few times on my snooper and road angel (178-180) and have even hit the limiter in 6th ( 183 in theory) just need to prove it at a testin ground.

it seems steady at those speeds, but since changed the springs to alot harder lb'age, which will make it alot better under hard brakin.

went to Bruntingthorpe with passionford, redline mag and fast ford.

for totb qualifier's

done 4 runs b4 the turbo seals lets go,

but even with the heat (26+ ambients) and a stronge ish head/side wind, managed

With my brother in passenger seat for first 2 runs. werent to hard on the start. and full fuel tank

0-60 3.32 & 3.35
0-100 7.52 and 7.58
0-150 21.52
1/4 11.56 and 11.3 @ 122+mph
168.4 mph and 166.9 mph

just me in car and Datron timin gear.

0-60 3.04 twice
0-100 6.88 & 6.91
0-150 18.92 and 19.1
1/4 11.1 at 124 twice
169.6 mph and 166mph wen turbo gave up.
1.25 mile in 35.46 @ 168.2 mph

all 4 runs back to back. runnin full boost, but did seem abit slow in top 2 gears, with the wind pushin the car side to side alot, like it was hooverin.

good day.

i was fastest on accelration stuff, and 4th on top speed, top was 174mph by a 550bhp 3 dr 2wd sierra cossie

me too mate, doing it anit a prob for me, but having somewhere to do it and of corse the cash, theres my prob

fiesta cossie, is there a reason you have the wide arch kit?
all the fiesta ive seen with this converstion have this kit,
is it something to do with the conversion pushing wheels out to far? drive shafts to long etc?

i mean it looks the nuts mate but have always wondered why they all got the kit

cheers

the car should be ready for totb, but have got 2 trackdays before then.

no the one with white wheels is a different one, was yellow in 1997 max power.

it needs the arches to pass M.O.T, cos of the width of the runnin gear.

just got back from a track mornin at lydden hil

after 3 1/2 hours sleep,

finished fitting new turbo at 8.30 this mornin, and on track at 9.30.

but run out of time, so couldn't sort the camber, as only set at .5 degree neg, instead of -2 degrees.

car runnin fine, set it at 25psi.

1st session, got put in 2nd fastest group, only out for 5-6 laps, as fuel started comin out of the tank breather, but on those laps bad understeer was a problem.

2nd session, started gettin into it, my mate jim's clutch let go on his 2nd lap, so he pulled out. even with the understeer alway round chessons, hairpin and paddock, manage to lap nearly everyone.

3rd session, got put up to the fast group. had a good 10 laps, then brake fluid boiled, and lost most of my brakes. so had to come in early.

The new turbo has slightly bigger ex housin, and comp wheel. it spools up the same but, but got abit of surge now.

hi,

the turbo looks the same, as still got my old comp housin, its mainly just internal changes, but the ex housin is now a t34, instead of a t28.

had dot 4, but was on my to do list, wen i fit my line lock, which will be done in the next 2 weeks.

a little up date.

My cossie has a 3 page spreed in the latest redline mag, and a few good pics in fast ford, both on the totb day at bruntingthorpe.

My gearbox let go at the pod at usc 5/8/05.

since then i haven't even took the box out, as loss intrest,

but i have return'd my turbo to TD and told them to sort the back pressure problems, or a full refund.

if they do the refund, i'll be gettin a AET gt30 internal turbo, which is good for another 30bhp, about 520+bhp.

got a new s8 ecu comin in next couple of days, So i can live map myself, as fed up of tune goin out with every slight mod.

a new 5 bar map sensor, may be 4x1000cc inj, a new inlet and throttle, and even a new free'a flowin down pipe.

lookin to rebuild my box, once i get off my arse to remove it and strip it.

and a 10sec quarter before the winter.

but as i'm lookin at houses at mo, things might get put back.

and duein winter i might even give the tt its power back, as alot easier, cheaper the cossie, and in some ways more fun.
